I'm gathering tickle toys for my honey to try on me and I don't want to spend a lot. Anybody have an opinion on the new Crest "Spin Brush"? It's about $6 (US) as opposed to the much higher priced electric toothbrushes I've heard tickle people talk about.

Also, anybody know where to get a bunch of individual long, stiff feathers? Online maybe?

Thanks in advance for all comments.

I've got the Crest Spin Brush, and it works just fine. The joys in the electric toothbrushes lie not in the price, but in the motion. Some electric toothbrushes merely vibrate, and you'll get less of an effect from those. Others, like the Crest one, having a spinning head, and you'll get a better effect from those. I have heard the absolute best one on the market for tickling, though, is the Sonic Care. I guess it is because ALL the bristles move, in different directions, and the sensation is pure torture. But you're looking at around $100 for that one. If you don't wanna blow a $100 on a tickle toy, then the Crest Spin Brush will suit your purpose just fine.

As for feathers, try any local craft or fabric store. I know Walmart carries them in their fabrics and crafts dept, and they are cheap. You can get a whole package of them (about 20 in all) varying in sizes and stiffness, all individual, for around $2-$3. They also have an excellent selection of small artist brushes that make a fine addition to any bag of tricks. 😀

Oh man Siamese, if they only knew!! I just saw something at Walmart today, that I SWEAR makes me a firm believer that all these dental hygeine manufacturers are ticklephiles!!

They just got in a new product. It is a "Sonic -Between Teeth- Cleaner". It's handle is shaped like that of an electric toothbrush, but it has different attachments. One is a small pipe cleaner attachment that spins in circles (omg can you imagine that little wonder between toes or in a belly button?? EEK!). Another is "gum stimulator" that looks like a little mini white xmas tree (another for above names locations, and THEN some!). Then there is your standard vibrating toothbrush head attachment, and finally, a vibrating plastic tongue scraper (arches and underarms beware!!!). All this in one kit for under $19.00!!! I have GOT to get me one of these kits! Ticklephiles everywhere will never leave the house again! LOL! 😀 😱 😉 😛

Can't get a decent feather

It's been exasperating trying to find a proper feather around here. The nearest Walmart I know of is in another state. Our craft/fabric stores have small soft feathers but not stiff quills. 😡

What do you all think? Should my quest for feathers end, or are they so wonderful that I should find some online supplier? If I do shop online, what is the best feather to get? (e.g. turkey)

Disclaimer: I do not work for Sonicare.

okay, with that out of the way, I think you should buy one whether or not you consider it a "toy". Sonicare brushes come highly recommended by dentists and personally I noticed a great difference once I started using mine, so it's a worthwhile investment for dental hygiene. The whole ticklin' thing is just bonus. Besides, it comes with a spare head, just designate one as "mouth" and one as "tickle", and you're all set.
