Curious about "browsing user" area disappearance within forums

😀 TickleTheater, I was just wondering what was the reason behind the names disappearing from the area,"users viewing" within each forum, if there was a reason behind it.

It just seems odd to me that the main "users online" area hasn't changed and the lists of users within each forum isn't there.

My reason for this thread is to know why can't I see the users viewing my artwork. I find it encouraging when I see the names behind the (... viewing) by the subforum.

Perhaps this is on everyone else's mind as well. 😀 😀 😎

It was probably a feature I disabled to enhance the performance of the site.

Not that it matters, now that it has been answered, but yes, Rajee, I felt the same way. Its easier to get a feel for whats going on when you can see the names. It can actually affect the ammount of attention a particular piece will recieve if you upload it when you know that there are people in that forum or the people that can normally be counted on to reply, do. Though generally I always just upload or update as soon as I'm finished with the picture, regardless of user activity.

Beside this point, its good to know whose where and whose doing what. But now that TT has answered your question and mine in one shot, I guess it doesn't matter.

You could always check the Online Users at the bottom of the main forum page.

I have to, otherwise I can't know whats going on. The "all seeing eye of Sauron" must be all seeing at all times. 😛
