Curiously attractive traits

Hello there!

I was wondering about the traits – both physical and personality-wise – that people find attractive in prospective partners which are maybe outside the norm, i.e. stuff a little more unexpected than cute smile, fit body, good sense of humour etc. Stuff that matters to you, but which most people wouldn’t bother about. Stuff that many people might actually find unattractive, but you find appealing – that sort of thing. (I mean apart from ticklishness, attractiveness of feet etc lol.)

For instance, one thing I’ve realized is almost as important to me as looks is a person’s voice. I tend to be drawn to girls with gentle, feminine voices, and repelled by girls with loud/harsh voices. That doesn’t mean they have to be super gentle and feminine personality-wise, I should say... I guess I just don’t like loud people generally! lol But it’s something that I seem to pay even more attention to in this context, I think.

Well, let's see... I've always thought that noses that are big in a certain kind of way are cute on some girls. Like, really prominent ones that are "tall," I guess you would say? I don't know, it's hard to explain... XD

I am with you on the voices thing, too! I don't think there's a particular "type" of voice that I think is attractive, but I definitely know a cute voice when I hear one! Lux from League of Legends has one such voice, and I love it... X3

I'm also fond of freckles, but I'm not sure that qualifies as unusual. Girls with just a liiiiittle bit of fat on them, too--I don't like seeing girls that are super duper slender and skinny. Even if it's not in an unhealthy way, skinniness just doesn't appeal to me the way a small bit of pudge does.

Hmm....I love redheads and women wearing glasses but I don't know how curious that is.

One look I do love is when a women wears a baseball hat. It's even more attractive when she has a ponytail sticking out of the hat.

Also a woman who enjoys sports is also Immediately more attractive.

I'm attracted to women with a bit of a naughty streak (tattoos, dyed hair, etc etc). A woman's hair is a big time factor in whether or not I'm attracted.

All of which explains how I managed to work up the nerve to ask my current GF out. 😀

As for me, I've always liked scrawny guys with glasses. Or, occasionally, the alternative look.

I tend to like the "bad ass bitch" type. I don't mean like bitchy, more bad ass. I've dated plenty of girls who either ride motorcycles, have lots of tattoos and or generally just don't take shit from anyone. Not sure why that type seems to like me, but man it's fun to tickle the shit out of them and see the tough shell crack. Nothing quite like chasing around a tough girl cuz she's terrified of the tickle monster! Wait, weren't you just cussing like a sailor??? Haha!

Re: hair I think messy hair can be pretty sexy. Obviously I don't mean when it's dirty and damaged lol. But when it's tousled and a bit unkempt... But then, that's probably not so unusual either. I dare say a fair proportion of men (and women, possibly) quite like that look.

Re: ears While I'm not really a fan of big ears/lobes, I think sticky-out ears can be kinda cute.

physically: its usually flawed beauties like geek girls or little bit of goth. Someone that has the bit of what society would consider a bit odd.

mentally: Someone that can at least form a structured sentence.

Hmm... I like it when someone looks ever so slightly unkempt and not too perfect. Like my boyfriend, sitting beside the sea, wonderfully creased linen shirt, either thin-ish jeans or chinos or something similar, hair that really could do with a brush, old leather sandals..... that's me gone. Sprezzatura!

But I suppose my biggest weakness is for when someone doesn't know that they're attractive, clever, has a distractingly perfect body, etc. Its the icing on the cake when someone just doesn't think they're that special, but they definitely are. I'd pick them over someone who's hot and knows it every time.
