Custom made avatars

Does this website allow Custom made avatars(that you make yourself)? hehe after 99 posts i should know this by now. But im just wondering if they do allow them if someone could Make a Custom Avatar for me. since i don't know the first thing about making avatars

Hi, you can use a image-editing Program like "PaintShop Pro" or "PhotoShop".

- load an image you like,
- choose the "selection tool" in "square" - mode the part you want to use
- and make a copy of that (normally with: Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+V)
- now resize that new image to 64 x 64 Pixels and save it
(as "jpg" is smaller in size)
- now you can upload this picture in the section "User CP/Avatar" -
there is an option: "You can upload an avatar from computer"

Sorry to resurrect a year old thread, but I see no option "You can upload an avatar from computer" on the CP/Edit Avatar page. Do I need to have MORE than 10 posts to have a custom avatar? Do I need to do something different for this version of the software? Someone please help me out. Thanks.

But I still don't know why the option to upload an avatar does not appear for me.

I think that there has to be......25 posts or so before you can upload your self made avatar.

Within the past 10 minutes, the option to upload an avatar SUDDENLY appeared.
Problem solved.

Maybe one needs 12 posts for a custom avatar.
Maybe SheDevil cast a spell or hex.
Maybe TT read my post and clicked the check box on the forum software that reads 'allow users to upload custom avatars'.

However you want to explain it, I'm happy now.

Power of Ten

When I had 9 posts, I could see no options for setting an avatar.
When I had 10 posts, I could set avatars from amoung the avatars already on the site, but the section to upload my own avatar did not appear.
When I had 12 posts, the section for uploading an avatar appeared.

This is my experience. I understand that it contradicts what HDS just said, so maybe something odd is going on. I had read 'Power of 10' very carefully.

I still haven't ruled out a jig or hex.

Awesome. I know what would be an even better use of your powers. Could you somehow make George Bush smirk whenever Kerry makes a point?

TT has to enable it for you, which happens a little while after achieving ten posts. It's not automatic like the option to use the site's avatars is.
