DA Sucks Nowadays

Hi All! I know it has been a while since I last posted but I went on a literotica and DA kick for a while there plus there was a time there that I didn't even think about tickling for a few months.

I think DA is trying to get rid of people like me (the just plain art lovers). I didn't mind it when it was just commissions and the artist could set-up a donation pool, but now, they have art you have pay to view, subscriptions (where you pay a set amount per month), and their latest thing, Tip Jars (where you have to tip a pre-set amount).

I don't know about anybody else but I used the old DA for therapeutic reasons, just getting on and absent-mindedly scrolling, but now you've got to be in a total focus when scrolling or you might click (or, in my case, tap) the wrong thing.

At least they've stopped doing, what I called pay walls-basically search stoppers, back when the whole pay-to-view thing started some artists would upload 10 or 15
Pay-to-views at a time basically building a wall that was impassable especially to mobile device users. I think DA must've put a limit on it though because, after I brought this fact to their attention, the walls disappeared.

It's gotten to the point that, as of right now, I've thought many times about deactivating my account over there.

DeviantArt used to have a very easy to use search function, which could bring you exactly what you asked for. If you asked for Fairies with Swords as an animation, you will get that.
Now their search function just floods you with everything at once, regardless of what you ask for.
Just like Pornhub.

Maybe DA and PH are owned by the same people?

Their new website does not work very well, that much is true.

I've had quite a few errors pop up on my DeviantArt page already (especially with the new "Chat" feature).

I've only used DA on PC, so I don't know what it's like on mobile. The new design is a little odd, but it's not bad IMHO.

To answer a few questions I've saw. No. I'm not mad ad the artists charging for their stuff if they want to. What I'm mad at is the fact DA doesn't have a way to make it so the pay-to-view\subs do not show for the people that don't want them.

100% agree with BlasterMaster.

Yeah. I used to use their PC site. It would probably be easier with a mouse, unfortunately to my knowledge, they don't make a Bluetooth mouse.

Yup, your right gamer. The main website lacks a lot of touch ups it badly needs. Not everyone wants to see many "for sale signs" for sexy artwork when they do a search for art.

Also I've tried SEVERAL TIMES to delete chats from people I've chatted with and yet I cannot seem to delete the conversations because they keep on coming BACK! It's driving me CRAZY!

What pisses me of the most about DeviantCrap's new website is the feature allows you to prevent certain hashtag artworks from showing up on your search bar and recommended artworks but the NUMBER of hashtags you can BLOCK IS LIMITED! Dammit you DeviantArt! Your driving me Crazy! CRAZY!

What gets me is that it would be so simple for DA to make filters for pay content. I mean they already have a "Mature Content" filter .

TBH I don't use the chat feature that often. I do have a pretty good friend over there that I enjoy talking with and her artwork is amazing but, because of time zone issues, it's hard to be on at the same time.
