Ross sat in his office the day before his scheduled visit with the Gastro Doctor.
Ross tried to busy himself, with "Anything"
In the meantime, Ross received, "Unwanted News " in one of the buildings which he owned with a group in Hanover PA. A development/building which Fritz, Steve, Ross and other multitudes of investors were involved in.
The building was going to experience a power shutdown the following day, to "repair an electrical system" Thus, many of the businesses in the building would have to close.
Additionally, even though a specific tenant was still paying their rent on a timely basis, said tenant had not "signed their space agreement", and had received multiple notices about it"
Ross sighed. "Ah, may I ask why I was contacted about this? I just happen to be an investor in the building. Does that somehow make me a "landlord to this person?" Ross asked.
"Ross, you were contacted, because, while this space is located in Pennsylvania, most of the investors are from far out of the area, including your friends Fritz and Steve. It was decided that since your location was closest, maybe you could make a trip down to the area, and meet with this tenant, with a mediator, and or lawyer if needed"
"Sir, while I appreciate and understand the property's position, in wanting to get the space lease signed by this tenant, I still live almost two hundred miles away in New York City, I run a major company here, I have major companies in other parts of the country, and I must remain in New York to attend to a very important personal matter tomorrow. It will be at least two days before I would be able to ascertain the specifics of this situation" Ross said.
"That's acceptable. The personal situation is top priority on your mind, I understand. I will definitely work with you. Since you have an interest in this property, I will give you and anyone you need to.. a week.. to evaluate this situation. Is that okay?" The man asked.
"It will be unless some unexpected personal situation arises. I will definitely contact you within the next 7 days, as soon as possible, depending upon how certain things play out" Ross said.
"That is fine. Thank You" The man said.
"Thank You for understanding" Ross said.
Ross sighed, and sat back in his chair. He knew that he could not "dwell on this" considering the potential problem he was facing with his health. Most importantly, Ross had to deal with that first.
Ross.. was bored. In the "old days" , before turning over control of RossShell to Vic, Ross could always "pull some small account, and fool around with it" to pass the time. Now, with RossShell running "Almost in a straight line" Ross vowed to himself that he would not do that. Ross was.. The CEO of the company, who had his name on the door, had a nice office in the company, but he would not "Rock The Boat"
Ross also knew that, with how Kayley had sacrificed for him, and now, with how much Kayley loved her new position as Vice Principal, and the potential for her career after that postion, Kayley was in one of the best periods of her life. Ross just had to accept how RossShell was set up, and , for the first time, consider other people's interests ahead of his own. Kayley did not tell Ross to sell RFS , or his part. Kayley did not tell him how to run RFS and not to acquire or sell off any other oil and gas interests or pieces thereof. So, Ross just had to accept it.
Also, especially in consideration of Ross's situation with his health, with his potential seizures, frequent migraines, sometimes stomach problems, and such, Ross had to be careful what he did.
That day , at lunch, Ross went to a popular American place for lunch. To make sure that Ross kept his stomach "quiet", Ross ate only grilled chicken, salad, and a bit of rice for lunch.
Ross went back to the office, and by five pm, had enough.
"Good night, everyone. Please dont expect me in tomorrow. I have a very important medical appointment to deal with" Ross said.
"Good Luck, Ross, and Best Wishes" Vic said, bumping fists with Ross.
"Thanks, Vic. I will almost certainly be in the day after tomorrow, unless something unforeseen happens" Ross said.
Ross slowly walked to the elevator with his cane. He went to his Uber, which took him home to Queens, and to Kayley.
Kayley, knowing how Ross was about any problem regarding his stomach, especially the one he was having, greeted Ross calmly. Ross went to the bedroom, followed by Kayley. Ross emerged from his closet, in boxer shorts, and a t shirt. "See, Vice Principal? My normal sleep outfit, so that you dont have to think you're sleeping with someone else, and or razz me" Ross said.
Ross sat on the couch, Kayley gave him an iced tea, and took one for herself
"You go first, VP. I will shut up" Ross said.
"Oh, nothing much. Just reviewed discipline.paperwork for the month., Gosh, it is so nice being the bitch who gets everyone in trouble. I feel like Kayley the Witch" Kayley said.
Ross kissed Kayley. "To me, you are Kayley, my strength. My Goddess for 27 years" Ross said.
"Are you thinking about tomorrow?" Kayley said.
"You know that Iam. Oh, and just for laughs, I got a call from the building I'm involved with in Hanover , PA. The guy who runs the property, told me that one of the tenants, has a space problem because of his lease on the property. This person pays the rest, but he did not "confirm his space lease" The guy who called me wanted me to come down, but I told this person that I' m dealing with personal and business matters in New York and that there is no way I could come down. We agreed to talk again in a week. Let me deal with the Gastro Doctor most important, and see what happens with that. That is my main concern" Ross said.
"Mine, as well" Kayley said.
Ross and Kayley ordered bland, steamed Chinese chicken with sauce on the side. Ross ate very carefully, hoping that he would not have to go to the bathroom. "Number Two" before his appointment.
That night, Ross and Kayley lied in bed holding each other, and just kissing a bit.
The following morning, Kayley had to go to work. Ross remained at home, "piddling" with meaningless paperwork in the den, on "basic bullshit" that meant nothing.
Around two, the Uber which Ross had reserved , picked Ross up , and rode toward Ross's appointment with the GI Doctor.
What would happen at the GI Doctor once Ross told the Doctor Ross's symptoms?
That would be seen.
