Dead Space 2 - simply amazing.

Worth every penny. Go out and get it.

It's a genuinely scary (most of the time) third-person shooter where a lot of messed up stuff happens.

I swear I was tense playing it from start to finish, waiting for stuff to pop out at me, or whatever.

The story is very interesting and ultimately what kept me playing more than anything. Just had to see what happened, dammit!

I can't wait to eventually get it. I loved the first one, normally not a jumpy person but being in the vacuum of space and turning round to see an alien heading right for you gets me every time

Being a savvy graphics freak, a little tip:

Those of you with a decent Nvidia graphics card can use antialiasing to reduce those little jaggies (Dead Space 1+2 don't officially support antialising in-game). Also you need a fairly recent driver. The 263.09 didn't do it for me, so get something newer, like 266+.

Get the Nvidia Inspector tool

run it as administrator (necessary to see the advanced settings - it's a driver thing) and enter the following antialiasing compatibility bits in the appropriate field in the Dead Space 2 profile:

0x004010C0

Under "antialiasing mode" choose "override any application setting" and directly below under "antialiasing setting" choose the desired level, for instance 4xMSAA.
Important: Hit "Apply changes". Also better restart Windows, then it works like a charm.

Btw, with the appropriate bits this works with many games.
