ok i know this is an older game but has anyone played Demon Souls? i got it not long ago and i gotta say, it hooked me from the start

yea i love it the only othe game ive put more hours into than this was Persona 3, Demon Souls is the first game that i actually got nervous when i play it cause one error can kill you lol

Yeah I saw on the review I watched that it was really difficult, punishes you for death, yet through all that, it's fun as hell and trains you to be better. That and other players on PSN can invade your game and kill you.

i actually don't mind fighting invading players, well except that time i was fighting 3 in game black phantoms when one invaded lol i still beat the invading person but man it was a challenge

I got a used copy of it today. Oh my god. it's the oddest game ever. Kev you're right, it's such a soul-crushingly hard game, yet I haven't gotten frustrated once yet! it's just too much fun. I was killed at the end of the tutorial, I've been playing the first level for a couple hours, and I'm still not alive yet! the review says that it trains you to play it better, and it's true. It's all trial and error till you figure out what the hell to do in order to not get killed yet again. But I'm nowhere near tired of killing the same guys over and over again yet.

im glad you enjoy it man and nothing feels quite as rewarding as taking down the boss of each level, i love this game 28+hours into it and 108 levels later and i still love playing it

Hell yeah! I just now beat the first one. Phalanx, the blobby thing. First go, didn't die. They mentioned on the review the sense of accomplishment you get. Weren't half right. I feel like I'm getting somewhere now.
