I have been wanting to get attention and fame on the TMF (well, not too much, but, yu'know) while contributing something that people will use.
I came up with the idea of a Profile; hmmm, for fame, let's call it The P50 Profile which has a pseudo-scientific tone when you speak it; yu'know ?
Now remember, I started it, so it'll stay The P50 Profile even though others will add to it. ("....baby remember my name....")
What this is is a list of facets of the fascination with some sort of indication of where any given individual lies within a given range of a given factor. Put them all together and you have The P50 Profile for a specific person.
Examples...
P50PF-1: are you a 'Ler, 'Lee, Both, Neither.
(Notice the silly confusing acronym "P50PF-1:" which means The P50 Profile Factor Number 1)
P50PF-2: Laughter index: 0-none, 1-smiles, 2-occasional giggles, 3-frequent giggling.... 10-wild screaming
P50PF-3: Chasing index: 0-forget it, 1-barely tolerated, 2-so-what, .... 10-Critically important
P50PF-4: Relationship Importance: 0-Not allowed (i.e., disqualification) 1-barely tolerated as a chief annoyance 2-tolerated for the sake of the other person, ... 5-Not a consideration, ... 10-Minimal requirement, first item on the list
P50PF-5: ........(More to come in the thread)........
Hopefully anyone reading now gets the idea. We can form a profile of who-knows-how-many factors and give them some sort of range. They don't all have to be numeric (e.g., are you a boy or a girl) as long as there is a factor and a range of possibilities.
If we could determine (I'm just tossing out a guess here) about 20 or 30 such factors, then individuals could provide a P50 Profile on themselves to prospective strangers whom they met on the TMF. This could greatly enhance the right connections, and greatly reduce wrong connections.
This is getting pretty long; so let me end it with an invitation to anyone to contribute suggested factors. I would hope that others will offer enough suggested factors (i.e., those that are important to them personally) to outweigh my own personal biases and assumptions in formulating the list of factors. By the way, thanks for reading this much. It's almost boring me by now.
