I've been thinking about how we in our area (Mid-Atlantic USA) can incraese both our numbers and our balance. Granted, this area is very well represented by groups, leaders, parties, and online connections.
However, in Virginia-Maryland-DC we're still just sorta struggling along. We have a tiny core "tickle" membership, but not much 'balance'(normally about 12 guys to about 2 ladies). We have got a new group going here, but it's tied to the local (but very large and commanding) BDSM supporr organization. As such, most of that larger group are still, even with our outreach among them, almost totally ambivalent to tickling (deep sighs).
At our last Tethers and Feathers subgroup meeting, we left with that item looming. We need more 'balance'. Some outreach has to be accomplished somehow, and it must somehow achieve almost a miraculous outcome!
I wonder if its time to reach out to the 'vanilla' community to try to recruit (lure) new potential tickle afficionados to our net. Perhaps they may come, or become attracted without a lot of preconceived notions of what 'we are all about'?
On a second scheme, as I hint at in the subject line; I'm still someday hoping to have a modest informal gathering of foot interested folks for a whole 2 or 3 day mini-fest of whatever barefoot relaxation may occur to us. And, wondering how many tickle fans might be interested in a general (and very casual) foot weekend). But since this notion is really more "off-topic", I'll take this thread over to the "general discussion" board.
