I just wanted to let everyone know a little something about everyone’s favorite intergalactic space cadet. Right now I'm re-writing the entire thing. Not the story I released here, but a whole new book. New characters and a new threat! I think I'm being clever with this book as well. Anyways I finished the first chapter today and (yes one chapter! But go with me on this one) I was really impressed with myself (nose in air! Just kidding... yeah...) on this. Anyways this is what I would like to say. Incase anyone was wondering about Dexter's origins, where he came from, why he became a space cadet well those questions will be answered with this book. I also plan on getting it professionally edited and a nifty cover drawn up. Tee-hee!

Now for the plot....

When Dexter was five his mother is sent to this planet to help a military group search a chasm where an unknown ship was located. Well they find it and a few nasty surprises. Well 14 years later the nasty surprises meet up with Dexter on the space colony. Dexter isn't a space cadet yet, but he becomes one soon after. During his training he discovers there might be more to these surprises.

I know! Not a lot to go on, but this is a pretty big story. And it's jammed packed with action and surprises. I'm really excited about this story. And to let everyone know I created Dexter long before I wrote "Devil's and Angels" so this story is very special to me. Anyways I'll keep everyone updated as the story develops even more.

Alright in case anyones wondering Dexter Knight is now two chapters deep. Now that might not seem like a lot, but it really is. I'm getting to a very critical point in the first novel. Now I also plan on doing several other things for the release of Dexter Knight. Right now I'm getting all the details down, but I plan on having a website dedicated to the space cadet, hold contests, and I'm also looking into merchandise like t-shirts and buttons. lol I hope this doesn't sound like over kill, but I plan on turning Dexter Knight into a franchise. The great thing about Dexter Knight is there are unlimited resources, options, and ideas I can play with. But like always the novels come first. I could chew your ears off about all my ideas, BUT somethings must remain a secret. Well until the next update take care.

See you all!

More news to report!

Looks like I have some fantastic news to report this time. Ok where to begin.... ah yes (lol like I didn't know)

1. Alright looks like the first novel of Dexter Knight has an end in sight. Nothing that I plan on finishing here in the next few days, but officially I have reached the half way point. Now in case anyone’s wondering the books is currently over 20,000 words in length. Now I don't like to estimate, but with everything I have planned the first book should stop around 50,000 to even 60,000 words in length! Which I'm very excited to report.

2. I have already figured out my next move for the second novel. And I would like to say this. The first three novels are really going to be a continuation of the first novel. But out of fear of giving anything away I won't say anything more.

3. I hope everyone’s ready to meet Dexter Knight! I hired an artist to do a character illustration for me and so far with the previews everything is looking fantastic. I'll post the preview, but keep in mind it's not the final product and will change!

4. Alright now this news can be taken either way, but in order to realize my dream of making Dexter Knight a franchise I was looking at all the different avenues I can take. So when the first novel of Dexter Knight is released I plan on advertising a line of t-shirts and buttons that will be sold as official merchandise of Dexter Knight. I'm also advertising these items in my book.

Whew that's about it. I will release more information as time goes on. Thanks for all the feed back I've received!

Thiis is getting interesting.

Ah thank you! I hope to surprise a lot of people with the first book, but the second one is where the big surprise will be waiting. I'm getting down to brass tacks here. Almost finished with the first book.

Alright last bit of news before the big announcement!

I have fantastic news. I am only a few chapters away from wrapping up the first book of Dexter Knight and I must say I'm very proud of all the work I've put into it's many pages. First of all Dexter will have his hands full in this outing. Not only does he have to deal with monsters, robots and a sword master, but a creature that has super strength, speed, regenerative abilities and can stretch his body to enormous lengths. And as hard as it is to imagine this guy is nothing compared to what I have planned for ole Dexter in the second book.

Anyways the next announcement will be me announcing the completion of Dexter Knight.

See you than!
Oh and look forwards to my new E-Zine being released by MTJ Publishing!

Pity poor Dexter, with such a full plate! Hard to see how he could possibly hold out against the sea of obstacles you've placed in his path! All this and an MTJ outing too! Accomplishment may be its own reward, but pay doesn't hurt! Heartiest congrats! A busy man is a happy man!

I'm very happy with everything I've accomplished and yet to accomplish. Believe me Dexter can handle this because he too has changed. He's a lot stronger than his previous incarnation and he has a lot more backup than the first Dexter Knight had.

Oh and about the e-zine I'm having published. It's the sequel to "Welcome to the Underworld." I hope everyone enjoys that!

Thanks for the replies Littlebighead. You make these updates fun to do.

Alright as promised here it is....

Dexter Knight is finished!

Last night I typed "To Be Continued" when I finished up the last chapter of the book. Now this book isn't as long as I wanted it to be, but that's for a really good reason. When I published "Devils and Angels" I realized the entire thing is very expensive for the readers, so to fight costs I decided to make the book only 35,000 words in length instead of 50/60,000. Now the story doesn't suffer in the least and I don't leave anything out. It's just not as long as I would have hoped it would be.

After I finish up a few projects I do plan to start up on the sequel. Anyways until than take care everyone!

Thanks!
