Today my friend called me up, yelling about how he got a free IPod in the mail. Completely skeptical, I asked him how he managed it. He went on to tell me about this website (http://www.freeipods.com) that he signed up on. He gave them his email address, and some other basic information including his home address of course, so they could send it. He said then it asked him to refer 5 people, then complete an offer, and in a few weeks, they would ship him a brand new 20gb IPod, no catch. He referred 5 people like they asked, then for his offer, he chose Blockbuster online. Now, this was confusing to me. But anyway, he signed up for the free trial of blockbuster online, thinking, "Well, if I don't get a free IPod, I still get free movie rentals for a month." But in 2 weeks, just as he had hoped, he got his free IPod in the mail. Astonished by this, I went over to his house to see if he was really telling the truth. When I got there, sure enough, there it was, a brand new IPod. Except one thing -- it had "FreeIPods.com" engraved into the back, but that is a small price to pay. In fact, it isnt a price to pay at all.
Trying to be sure about this....I googled it, and found several blog entries from people who had done the same exact thing as he did, and got their IPods, just like he did. I looked around their site, and found that they do the same thing for PSP's, Nintendo DS's, even full on PC's. Now I'm seriously considering this. What do you guys think?
