This is from the new expanded version of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. It has Stephane Grappelli on violin, who used to record with Django Reinhardt in the 30s and 40s:

I'm looking at the reviews of this and the other "immersion" reissues of the Pink Floyd catalogue: http://www.superdeluxeedition.com/f...e-of-the-moon-immersion-edition-first-listen/

Some of this stuff sounds fascinating. I love hearing alternative versions, outtakes, and so on. WYWH and DSOM in 5.1 must be absolutely deadly! (Though there was a "quadraphonic" version of DSOM in 1974 - too bad putting 4 channels of sound on a vinyl record didn't work so well!)

Now I'll simply have to decide which of my kidneys I'll have to sell in order to afford them!

FYE and Coconuts have them "on sale" for $139.00 each. I would like to hear both of these, but yeah, little too pricey for me.

"The Wall" Immersion set comes out next year, and there's talk of a "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" set. That's the one I wanna get.

This one sounds pretty good, but the more I listen to it the more I like the original.
