Ross had no headaches, no dizzy spells, and was not tired , except for one day, when he did a "bit too much"
In the meantime, Ross's best friend Larry's hospitalization dragged on.
Each day, Ross called Larry and spoke to Larry, and Larry's parents, and kept getting the answer. "One more day" One More Day.
Finally, Ross had enough.
Ross called Mister P and Steve, explained the situation in New York to them, and that Ross was feeling fine. Ross also told them about Ross feeling much better than he thought. Ross had checked with Doctor K, who had told him. :"You can go, if you have a nurse on call, and if you come home immediately and right to see me if there is any trouble" Doctor K said.
Ross immediately agreed to that.
Ross said. "Fuck this" left the office early, and decided to go home, and have his "head handed to him " by Kayley.

Doctor K gave me his permission to fly if I immediately call a nurse and come home if any trouble starts You know all about Larry's hospitalization, how it is dragging on, and how draining it is on me. How do I know that if this gets out, Tazzio will not put up a front man like that Mitchell guy to get to the inside of RossShell and steal company and yours and my personal secrets and or information? You know that I am not being paranoid because it has happened before. I must, must, must get out of here, and allow this process to play out. Steve , Fritz and I said "Fuck other countries for now. We do our usual thing. Oklahoma and Texas oil and gas deals and buy companies, maximum of three days, I will be back, and then hopefully God Willing by then, Larry will be better, and out of the hospital, and I can go back into RossShell's office, meet with Alan Hell, Tom, and anyone else, and push this process through. Will you please understand where I am coming from this time, and not "Crack The Whip" This is, very, very personal, Kayley. Except for you, and my Dad, you know that I love Larry and his parents more than anyone in the world. Please" Ross appealed.

"Ross, that whole thing you said to me shows just how far you have come as a human being, and how much not being obsessed with RossShell day to day has changed you. That was an appeal to me, by you, my husband of almost 30 years, and not some bullshit speech to go run away on business. Okay, go, take your break. Ross and Kayley made love that night, and the next day, Ross caught a 10 am flight to OKC, and got to OKC at 2 OKC time.
When Ross got to the office, after greetings with Steve and Fritz, the first order of business was a meeting with a guy about a company with two offices , one in Oklahoma, the other in Texas. Medium size company, worth 250 mil, with assets of oil and gas wells in both Oklahoma and Texas. Papers were exchanged, and would be sent to RFS lawyers. All three RFS partners agreed that it was a "productive meeting"
Ross went back to the hotel,, and called Kayley. "Principal, thank you so much for agreeing that I can be here. We had a productive dinner meeting. Two shows, tomorrow and the next day, two more dinner meetings, and I will be home two days from now by nightfall, okay?" Ross said.
"I told you, partner of three decades. No time frame, no whip crack. As long as you are okay, stay four days, whatever. You sound okay, seriously" Kayley said.
"I'm just a bit tired. If I need a nurse, I have the name of a company. I'm going to take a shower, sleep, and then do a show and a dinner meeting tomorrow. I will talk to you tomorrow night, okay?" Ross said.

After that, the men went back to the office, changed into slacks and dress shirts, and went to meet with two men who had a company and fields across the Texas border.
The value of the company, 200 million. Again, papers exchanged, geology reports would be surveyed,. and decisions made within 30 to 60 days.
All in all, two productive nights, and one productive day, after which on the way to the hotel, Steve said.
"Ross,. let's do an early show tomorrow, and please get out of here on a late afternoon flight. We did some solid business. I know what Miss Kayley said, and that your Doctor agreed to it, and that you seem fine, but please dont push your luck. I'm sure if you just go into the office, and all is normal,. Kayley will not bust your chops with the partner thing until Larry is home resting. I say this for your own health" Steve said.
Ross smiled. "Thanks, Steve, and I will do just that" Ross said.

"We are doing an early show tomorrow, and then the guys will take me to the airport, and I will be home by no later than midnight tomorrow night. I got my break, Larry should God Willing be home tomorrow or the next day, and then, after a day breather, I can go forth with thinking about what to do with the lawyers and RossShell, okay?" Ross asked.
"More than okay. Happy you will be home tomorrow night, Babe, see you when you get here" Kayley said.
Ross slept that night. The next morning, Ross checked out of the hotel, went to the field with Steve and Fritz, and, after a show with 300 people and 100 signups, Ross went to the airport, and went home.
Around midnight, Ross unlocked the door. Kayley was half asleep in bed. Ross quietly undressed, slipped into bed, lightly kissed Kayley, who stirred, and murmured. "Hi" and then went back to sleep.
The next morning, Kayley awakened for work, dressed, and kissed Ross goodbye.
Ross himself, who felt surprisingly good for having had a Botox shot less than a week earlier, and having just come back from an OKC trip, decided to go in for a half a day. Ross called the office, told them he would be in about noon, showered, dressed, and headed to the city in an Uber.
It had been a rollercoaster time with Larry's on and off long hospitalization, Ross's shot, and Ross's trip to OKC.
Now that Ross was back home,. would Ross encounter any unexpected trouble when he got back to the office? Just how, and how long, would it take for Ross and the lawyers to research and find people to perhaps partner up at RossShell?
Ross was home now. He knew that with Larry hopefully on the way to recovery, Ross's shot over, and Ross having had his "I need to escape trip" to OKC approved by his Doctor, and agreed to by Kayley, now, he needed to focus on RossShell.
Just what would happen? Would there be any unexpected winds in the road, or bumps, or thuds?
All of those things would be seen.
