However is anyone really surprised...it happened in Iran, land of mysoginy and male masterdom. Why the Middle East hasn't been turned into New Texas yet escapes me.

A few years ago ago, in the Fortean Times (a magazine that collects "weird news" from around the world), I read a brief article in their "Strange Deaths" section. Apparently a Vietnamese man sneaked up on his wife and tickled her from behind. Unfortunately for him, she was cutting wood at the time, and she reflexively spun around and hit him with the axe, killing him.

I saw A special on Tanya Harding last night. She blamed her second divorce on being tickled repeatedly one morning. "No one bothers me before I have my first cup of coffee" she said, or words to that effect. But I guess being divorced by Tonya beats being strangled. Come to think of it being divorced by Tanya beats being married to Tanya.
