Here's another fanart parody for the anime series Witch Hunter Robin. Here we have Robin Sena doing the "hunting dance", with Chief Shintaro Kosaka (who oddly and coincidentally looks like tv's Dr. Phil LOL! XD ) watching in a suprized state of curiousity and wonder.

Not much to say other than I felt like being silly and wanted to draw a fun situation. I also colored Robin's hair differently so as to add a little more vibrancy to it than what we normally see in the series.

Picture colored with prismacolor markers, clouds added in with Open Canvas.

P.S: Don't forget to resize it for full-sized viewing. Modern browsers tend to shrink and distort pictures so they'll fit into your screen resolution.

And heres the actual Hunting Dance itself, drawn in chibi style. Robin wants to dance, dance, dance, but Chief Kosaka may be in over his head.... ^^;

Pictures colored with prismacolor markers. Because it was aimed to be so simple, I opted for simple boxes instead of manga or comic frames. I didn't see them as necessary, though would in a larger project.

Saw this on your Devart page, very cute and funny. Actually like that haircolor more on Robin as well.

Thank you. 🙂

What is your account there so I can link to you? (If I'm not already, that is).

Yeah, I like Robin's hair more as red than brown. In the series it its different from in the official artwork. In the artwork her hair is chestnut brown (a sort of red color), and in the series itself its darker. Its alot like Starfire's skin color in Teen Titans. Sometimes its like a tangerine color and sometimes its more of a light mustard color.

Eeither way its not wrong since both are official, and its the same for Ms. Sena here. 🙂 I think her color scheme just works better and gives her more life when she's a redhead.

When I started drawing this I realized, that when simplified into chibi form (and sometimes in normal size) Chief Kosaka looks alot like Dr. Phil McGraw from tv. You know who I'm talking about right?

Its the same suit, same hairline, same 'stache. LOL 😀

A MAD TV skit:

"*Oh no....they're all looking at me....what do I do...what do I do....I hope Oprahs not watching this....I can't help this woman....I'm a fraud....keep it together Phil....you're a good liar....just talk your way out of this like you always do....*"- Dr. Phil (thinking to himself as he sweats perfusly)

" Now this is what we're gonna do! I want you to go home and rethink your life up until this point!"- Dr. Phil

"But Dr. Phil...I don't..."- Guest

"Now hush up and go! Move it! Get off my stage!"- Dr. Phil (scares guest off)

LOL! 😀

🙁 I miss Robin. I never got to see all her episodes. I'd snatch up all her DVDs in a heartbeat if I could afford it.
She does look good as a redhead, but with those green eyes, she kind of reminds me of Kim Possible.

Anime can be expensive. Kim Possible, blah, can't even compare. And its a Disney production at that. 😛

Ah yes, it appears you're already on my list. Ok then. Sometimes I have people watching me from all over the internet and while I otherwise would know who they are, they go by different SNs most of the time on the art sites, so sometimes I'm not even aware its them until they say so. With the vastness of the internet and these art sites it doesn't make it any easier.

I'm guessing you're talking in terms of animation. Kim Possible is one of the better shows Disney has going for it right now. You want to talk blah? Try Brandy & Mr. Whiskers or the Buzz on Maggie. :xlime: Kim works mainly because of the writing and characterization. If those two work, all else follows. I've seen some anime that was very beautiful, but I had no idea what was going on and I lost interest.
Unfortunately, Disney seems Hell bent on shooting themselves in the foot by cancelling Kim Possible as part of their 65 episode policy. A lot of us think she deserves more than that. For more information check out:

Animation AND storyline is what I'm talking about.

But yeah, I know where you're coming from. Hopefully fans will get what they want and will be heard. 🙂

Excellen chibi picture and comic strip CE.
Am I alone in thinking Robin sorta resembles Nicole Kidman.
🙂

Thanks alot, my friend. 🙂

Nicole Kidman...hmm....*imagines Nicole dressed as Robin*....she does sort of. She has the face for it. Actually, yeah, you're pretty good at matching actresses to fictional characters. She would make a good Robin. Her lips and nose are the right size, her hair could be changed to match, but she'd need green eyes (but in the film those can be changed digitally without her having to wear contacts or anything). She has the right face for it though. Her cheeks are sort of slightly sunken in the way Robin's most likely would be, she's got the right chin and thats balanced well by the shape of her face.

Visually speaking, its a great match. And because Nicole has played horror themed roles before I don't think she'd have a problem acting like Robin either. She's also petite and the right size and frame.

The only real problem is her age. She's too old to play Robin. But with the magic of Hollywood makeup and effects its possible to pull off.

Ultimately though she wouldn't be chosen. They'd probably get someone who is younger and has the right requirements already. There are alot of aspiring and up and coming actresses who are worth a look.

The roles shouldn't always go to the big name stars even if they can pull it off at their ages. This business suffers every time we turn away new talent to keep the older, already established ones employed and active.

But yes, I totally agree Nicole Kidman is a sure ringer for Robin. The role just suits her and she bares an incredible resemblance and can carry the nuances of the character well. 🙂
