Do you have a DVR?

According to this survey just over half of us have one. I don't, and likely won't get one. There is not that much on TV I care to watch, so why bother? If you do have one, do you use in a lot?

i dont have one ether i dont watch much tv i do have netflix so i can watch movies and tv shows when i want

Nope. The "on demand" feature that I do have lets me watch most things that I missed anyway.

I love mine. With my classes it's the only way to stay on track with my shows.

I used to use mine ALL the time. Now, notsomuch, mainly cuz the one I have now sucks (comes with the cable unfortunately). BUT every now & then, if I see a promo for a show I wanna catch, I'll set the DVR then & there. The "pausing live TV" part is really cool; when a show starts, I'll hit pause, make a sammich or something, then start watching so I can zip past astronomically atrocious ads.

I still use the VHS for what programs i still watch so i can fast forward through the commercials. (They certainly have a lot more of them these days, the bastards.) The DVR has come in handy when I was making my own tickling vids, so I cold transfer and edit the works to the way I like em and preserve them on DVD. Plus at one point, I plugged my computer into it so I could transfer a bunch of tickling videos I bought so I could watch them on the TV. (Bigger screen you know.) That turned out to be a blessing, for it wasn't much later my computer died, and I lost all them videos. Hot damn, still got em on DVD.

I use it to record sports, movies, and favorite programs. But I don't NEED it - in fact might cut back and just ditch cable and subscribe to Netflix.
