Does any one play Yu-Gi-Oh?

After seeing a thread about Magic, I decided to see how many of you play Yu-Gi-Oh.

I kind of play Yugioh.

My bf showed his deck off to me a few days ago.

In fact, he made the Magic thread you are talking about! 😀

I mostly like the artwork on certain cards, but I'm trying to learn the rules.

Once you learn the basics its easy to pick up the rest of the rules.

I hope you have fun playing the game, my advise is to not give up if you loose a few games, keep trying and you will get better.

I started watching the series because I write fanfiction a lot, and a younger friend of mine wanted some YuGiOh fanfic. I sorta got addicted, and now I've got three seperate decks 😱

wow like the only people who post in my thread are female. Dont get me wrong whether you are male or female doesnt make you any better of a player. Over here in the UK not many females play.

LOL, I did, when it was popular in middle school. Heh, we even held tournaments. I kinda kept building my collection in my high school freshman year, but since noone played it (or admitted playing it), I kind of just showed all like 500-1000 cards in a box...XD Its still there, I sometimes schroll through them...aw, good times...😛

Although I don't play very much since I got my latest job, and since I'm 21 I wonder if it's a little too old for me, but I still have my cards and I'm a big fan of the Anime. Also I've played almost every ideo game on the subject

I stopped playing for a while when I had my old job but now at my new job, my boss plays so we have regular Yugioh breaks during the day. 😀

At the UK Nationals that I judged at last week end there were people ranging from age 6 to 60 playing.

So as long as there are still older players playing I dont mind, but if I did stop playing, I would still continue to judge.

I also do collect cards and would love to play...if there was a demand for it here and someone my age who was interested in it like I am. 🙁 On that note, for the people that collect and/or play, what's your favourite card and why?

My favourite would have to be the Michizure trap card because it's pretty versatile in how it's used. You can use it for any point in time when a monster on ur side goes to the graveyard. It doesn't specify anything in terms of how the monster gets to the graveyard, so I use it when I'm Tribute Summoning a bigger monster and if the opponent only has one monster on the field, I now have direct access to LP!

As anyone whose seen what I've triggered on the Godmodding thread will know, the answer is 'Aye'. And BEWD still rocks...though my damage preferance is curse of darkness...that and having an end game result of 11500(give or take)-0...

I agree, its a very under used and under rated card that deserves to see more play.

I don't wanna sound un PC or anything but it's the honest truth. A generic fat little chinese kid used to play this at college, he always claimed he was the best and always beat his lil group of followers 😀 oh he was so cool hehe. Anyway I'd played Magic and what not before so bought a deck just to see what it was all about, beat him, he moaned then I stopped. Same happened with the whole pokemon card phase. Tried teaching him magic but he gave up and said it was a sh*t game 😀 bless his lil cotton socks

I think its funny when people say that they are the best at things and then they loose to you.

The only people who can get away with saying they are the best, is if they are the best.

and even the best of the best lose. Another card I had, and by had I mean owned until my cousin stole it and sold it for some pretty fine swag...grrrr... was my only Secret Rare card: Injection Fairy Lily.

A pain in the butt if u don't have LP, but handy if you do.

Its another good card as it can take down alot of monsters, but like you said it requires you to have the LP's.

I just use Metalmorph as it lets my weaker monsters take down bigger monsters.

Oh yea, well Metalmorph has a MAJOR weakness, it only adds attack point when it is attacking, so it really doesn't do you that good unless you ALREADY got kicking-ass monsters. I usually go with Mage Power or United We Stand. These are LONG lasting effect, which works MUCH better.

this makes me wonder, who here will want to have a Tickling Trading Card game for that matter?? Anyone, or just collect but will never play because well, everyone got their reasons.

Also, who is interested in playing a NEW card game. It will be based on LP, but each monster has a life as well, so even if you beat him based on ATK, you will still have to finish all his life before you can damage the user. However, when this monster dies it will deduct a certain amount of LP from the player as a penalty for using that monster. Also any leftover damage will be deal to the user. I am also trying to have 2 separate decks in the game, 1 for monster and 1 for magic. You can draw from either deck, but only once during "draw phrase" that will eliminite a LOT of chance which people claims to have lead them to their defeat....btw, this is a game I am trying to develop in real life (NOT a tickling trading card game)

One of the better card combinations I have ever seen is the use of Cyber Stein.

Cyber Stein's ability is to summon any fusion monsters for a cost of 5000 LPs. Usually the choice monster in this case is the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon which makes for a pretty mean offensive powerhouse. The only detractor is that Cyber Stein itself is weak...so a trap card can be of use there.

Well, haven't really played Yu-Gi-Oh all that much but I do play magic. =^_^= I did used to collect YGO cards, though. I think I still have a Vampire Lord and Magic Cylinder here somewhere...

But I haven't even seen the new YGO series or the new card sets. They don't seem to be all that good as the original sets. Might still be fun, though.

Of course you can't forget this trap card, which would be a "Kimiko-approved" card methinks: "Medieval Hysterics" and the picture on the card: a set of stocks!
