Those images are what i'm talking about. In the medieval age "the Inquisition" (an spanish dark force from clergy) used several torture methods, one of them was called "La Toca" (the rag). It was a very terrible method, the victims always did suffer too much and almost always they did end died. The victims were put over an special table (a kind of rack or similar) completely immobilized, then the torturer did push a very long piece of rag, using a funnel forced to the victim to drink several jars of water, then the victim forced by his/her reflex swallowed the rag, leaving only a tip out, finally the torturer pulled strongly from the tip and the victim did suffer with all his/her digestive system torn.
