does EVERYTHING on the internet have to revolve around sex?

i know i complained about something before but i have to complain again,



my sister is a member of IMVU and second life, she speaks to only women on both of the games, why? because men dont know how to keep "cyber" it in their pants, every male she spoke to on IMVU spoke kindly, speaking like they want to get to know her and become friends, then all of a sudden "wanna cyber" or "i know u wanna f^%#" etc. then when you say that your going to report them, they run like cowards. and this is not one or two guys (because if it was i would not be complaining) its every single guy she spoke to (im not saying every guy who owns a computer and has internet access is a pervert because if i was i would be a hypocryte) but now onto second life, no matter what you type into the search on that game, at least 1 or 2 sex shops pop up,
and there is even a place in that game that encourages girls and women to become slutty *****s, there are rape machines, men flashing their penises to everything in site, nudist areas, etc.

why does every single thing out there on the internet have to revolve around sex? has our human race sunk so low that we must have sex 24/7 at any age before we are married? it just gets sickening that everywhere you turn there's always a guy there commanding a woman to be his sex slave, i believe that women should not be treated like that, i believe a woman should be treated like gold and yet there are people out there on the internet who want to have sex with anything that moves, weather they know if it is a woman or if they dont know its a woman. it just sickens me,

The internet is perhaps the world's largest and most complex sausage fest. 🙂 But seriously, give the average guy a world where he can *be* and *say* anything to any female and he runs wild. There's really no conseqence, no witnesses to that "cyber drink" thrown in your face -- so why not go for the rule of averages...

I'm sorry your sister had such a bad experience. I don't know about IMVU, but there are lots and lots of sorority tickling sites on Second Life, places where it's non-sexual all-girl tickling. There are women-only PG-rated beach sims where she can be buried in the sand and have her feet tickled, for example.

It sucks like a bucket of AIG executives that so many men on certain types of sites feel entitled to act like dumb adolescents around women. It royally screws things up for those of us who do have brains and scruples.

It’s been my observation that a lot of women (rightly) tell such men exactly what they can do with their commands!

Trouble is, we live in a society which raises us to believe that sex is either a sin or something only to be done as part of marriage (read: a sin) and then bombards us with sexual images and innuendoes in an effort to sell us everything from beer to automobiles. 😛issed: IOW, a lot of us (male and female) didn’t grow up in a sex-positive environment and weren’t given any positive behavior models to work from. This in no way excuses anti-social behavior, but I hope you see my point. If we’re lucky we found positive behavior models for sex and sexuality on our own. FWIW, billboards have popped up all over town showing a preadolescent boy in a hoodie, with the caption “Teach your son to respect women.” The fact that a public service announcement campaign like that is necessary speaks volumes.

Oh yes, those men (boys?) of which you spoke had better watch out. I know of at least one thirtyish male SL member whose avatar is an attractive young woman!

Yeah... I really don't know what the whole sex craze thing is all about. If life was all about sex... I would be so bored.

Anyways, the sad truth of it is that most people in our society don't really know how to react or deal with the subject of sex because it's such a "forbidden" topic. There's definitely a major difference between believing that pre-marital sex is sinful and pretending the thing doesn't even exist until you're married. Sex, IMO, should be an open discussion between parents and children or those responsible, with ALL points covered, not only those that help prove a point. I believe that someone knowingly supplying an incomplete truth is lying.

I really believe that the major cause of all this sexual stupidity in our society is that sex is silenced. Sex is a natural act, it's beautiful and in many ways, it's sacred. What we need to do is talk about it and teach about it the right way.
