Does Nickelodeon promote the Foot Fetish???

Hi. I've been a loyal viewer of Nickelodeon for many, many years now. One thing I've noticed is that over the past few years, Nick's line of comedy shows have been very "feetsy" lately. Shows like iCarly have been showing scenes involving feet, girls' feet I might add.

For Example...

* iCarly - (Carly and Sam rawing families on their toes and wiggling them to the addience, Sam getting a foot rub from a boy, the two girls shooting arrows at a picture of a foot, putting butter in sox, etc.)

* True Jackson VP - (the asian girl has her feet in the air with "Hi Oscar" written on them for a boy she likes)

* The Amanda Show - (People being dared to sniff feet / sox, and even the security guard ate a food sculpture of Amanda's foot while teasing it with "This Little Piggy".

Then another thing hit me, all of these shows in question have been made by the same guy, Dan Schnieder.

Do you think he has a foot fetish and is expressing that through these shows over the years? The majority of feet have been the girls of his shows so I'm beginning to think it's very possible.

I do indeed believe that the channel does promote that fetish. A number of the commercials on there also promote feet. I remember one commercial where this boy kicked off his shoes, and then laid on his bed. A second later, his shoes come to life, and popped on s feet. And forced him outside.

Considering that those three shows are produced by Dan Schneider(HEAD OF THE CLASS' resident fat guy),it wouldn't come as a surprise if it was revealed that he does have a Tarantino-esque foot fetish(if it's actually true,that is).

Never mind the shows. How about the commercials? Like the car commercial from the 80's which showed a woman tickling a pair of white-socked feet sticking out of a parked car's rear passenger window? The 90's bra commercial which showed animated paint brushes drawing the garments on the female models (shot from behind) who chuckle as the brushes do their work?

How about the "Penguins of Madagascar" series based on the movie with the lemur "Mort" who's obsessed with King Julian's feet...there's even one whole episode where he's trying to cure himself of his "foot obsession" 😵

What you people who are offended by this kind of stuff tend to forget is that this is the EXACT SAME MATERIAL that harvested and cultured our own fetishes growing up; foot and/or tickling material on kids shows or television/movies in general.

Now since a majority of us apply a sexual connotation to it now that we're older, we're automatically predisposed to be offended by it. How do you know for sure that any of this is meant to be perverse? Like Mari said, kids just tend to find this kind of stuff to be funny, thats all. We're the ones who perceive it to be dirty because we know people (or are people) who might be turned on by it.

Its like that I've argument I've always used...if there was a video online of some girl eating pudding....and you found out that a handful of people got turned on by it and pleasured themselves to that video...does that make it porn?

I remember on Penguins of Madagascar there was one episode where they may as well have come out and said the little squirrel had a foot fetish because he kept going after King Julius's feet and hugging them,snuggling them.Then,King Julius made a no touching the feet rule and anyone who broke it would be banned.Well,the little squirrel was going crazy and was sent to the Penguins who made an obstacle course where pictures of feet would pop out but if he touched them he would be shocked.It was a cute episode.
It's just these are kids and I can't see them being allowed to ''promote'' anything sexual so I am pretty sure that's not where they were trying to g😵f course I was told cartoons really aren't for kids and have a lot of hidden adult humor that kids wouldn't get

I admit, some are not sexual, likethe Madagascar cartoon. But, I mean things like iCarly which constantly have foot fetish references are somewhat advertising the foot fetishfor little kids. I remember when I watched TV and saw a movie involving girls / womens feet, that got me hooked. It's how Dan Schnieder keeps putting girls' feet into the mix that makes me wonder. LOL

There was one years ago, before i had this fetish, with kids lined up on shelves, their feet sticking through a wall as a motherly-looking woman tickled them to show how clean their socks were (there's a porn video with Asian women on a tickling wall like this, wonder where they got the idea?)

Everything sexual is marketed to kids- they're just beginning to notice the opposite sex and the marketeers pounce on it. (WARNING- SELF-RIGHTEOUS RANT AHEAD)
Look how teen idols dress, and dance- and my biggest complaint, LOOK HOW PARENTS DRESS THEIR OWN CHILDREN!!! Toddlers in revealing 2-piece bathing suits!?!?!

The infamous Kefauver hearings in the 50s pointed to bondage and quasi-porn in comic books, and they weren't totally wrong either.
Sex sells, and the marketeers are just another type of predator; they don't physically touch kids but get inside their heads, prey on kids' desire to be grown ups- and parents fall right in with it!

There is a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE between child and adult- kids are NOT just short adults, they are KIDS!

Never seen it, I don't really much bother much with the current live shows...not as good as they once were back in the early days of Nick...
