C.A.B.'s Halloween Hoo Ha 2012 celebration marches on with most likely the sexiest vampire ever conceived… before perky and spunky Buffy and before the pale and woebegone, angst riddled, Twilight nausea, there was Frank Franzetta's vision of <i>Vampirella</I>, warm of flesh, if not downright blood-flushed with exuberant sexuality and stature. Here, a young Van Helsing tortures the vamp into spilling the locations of her kin. How one manages to keep a vampire imprisoned is beyond my pay grade… but Van Helsing is wise to the vampire's one weakness; hyper sensuality. A few day-lengths of the whip, tickle torture, and sexual torment and she will eventually break. The only difficulty here… vampires tend to like it.

Something is amusing about this! That vampire needs to be reeeaaalllly punished. The garlic must be hard to endure. 😀

Had the pleasure of meeting Mr Franzetta and his wife a few years ago before he passed away. His son owns a Halloween shop in the Poconos and has some of his fathers original works on the wall. His wife may still be selling prints and originals as well at their old place which has a Franzetta museum in the front. I think he really would have enjoyed your take on the fanged lady here. Really well done.

Interestingly, two other people claim to have created Vampirella; and they might have. Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan. What is interesting is that even thought you may have originated an idea, sometimes it takes someone else to breathe life into it. Come to think of it, Dr. Frankenstein said that very same thing.
