Earlier today I heard some little punk shits mock the crew of the space shuttle that blew up in the early 2000's. Those FUCKING LITTLE BASTARDS were PUT IN THEIR PLACE by me and my girlfriend!

Those brave people had to say goodbye to their families and loved ones EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY WENT UP knowing that each time they did they may NEVER SEE THEIR LOVED ONES AGAIN!

They took HUGE RISKS for the sake of bettering our NATION and our RACE and the LEAST WE AMERICANS can do is TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS and THEIR SACRIFICES!

When did we become a nation who MOCKS our HEROES AND HEROINES?

We've always been like that. Teenagers are fucking stupid. They're all gangly, slow-thinking, drooling, semi-retarded imbeciles with no ability to think before they speak.

Don't bother lecturing them, it goes in one ear and out the other, and they're automatically disregarding what you have to say because they think they're hot shit. There's honestly nothing you and your girlfriend could have said, no matter how on point it was, to get them to wake up. Believe me, I was a teenage boy once -_-

1861. The Civil War. Thomas Nast began mocking various politicians and war heroes, culminating in his pamphlet "Peace" that was published in 1862. If not for the trail blazed by Thomas Nast, we wouldn't have Jon Stewart today.

it's just the new sense of humor among young folk. EVERYTHING is funny and ridiculous. I expect to live at least another 60 years. to think that these shit heads will be taking care of me towards the end of my life makes me frown.

I can't believe that the younger people today have no respect for people who risk their lives in order to make this world a better place.😛issed

Unfortunately, there are adults who exhibit such qualities too...

Astronauts have always been my heroes, probably because I grew up watching the Gemini and Apollo missions on TV. Of course I was glued to the TV when the late, great Neil Armstrong took that one small step. Anyone who could ride a rocket into space inside of a craft with the inside space of oh, the size of a compact car is OK in my book. That goes for the shuttle and space station personnel too.

They weren't teenagers. They were little kids (in middle school I believe). I will agree that there is a HUGE discipline problem in this nation though (and that's not just coming from somebody with a mother for a teacher). All of my mother's Cacuasion, African American, and Latino students are FAILING. The only ones who are PASSING are the Asians and the Indians and when I say "PASSING" I mean "PASSING WITH FLYING COLORS"! It's very VERY SAD. All of my mother's other students just want to twitter, text, and don't want to do any work (the fact their parents don't MAKE THEM do the work is also bad).

I believe even Mr. Nast would be AGAST at the things these students said about the crew of the shuttle accident. John Stewart would certainly not HESITATE to call them idiots in a proper (and comical) manner.

...god...60 years from now...I shudder to think what the world will be like! The amount of people ALONE not to mention the level of pollution and lack of fresh water! Soylet Green anybody?

Well said Sox, they have no respect!

A more accurate statement I have not heard in recent memory. Especially when they started calling both me and my friend, "Bitch", "*****" and "Ho". THIS is why me and my MISTRESS MOVED OUT of NY City. Because of shit like this!

I can't believe that the younger people today have no respect for people who risk their lives in order to make this world a better place.

You wouldn't believe HALF the stuff their doing! Talk to a NY State teacher sometime and you'll learn what they have to put up with/endure. The only power a teacher has now is to say, "please stop doing that" and if that fails it's UP TO THE POLICE! Sad but true!

Unfortunately, there are adults who exhibit such qualities too...

Ayup but the sheer AMOUNT of children who WALK, TALK, AND BEHAVE LIKE IDIOTS in this nation now. Jebus! It SCARES me. Have you ever even SEEN some of the SCHOOL WORK these idiot children DO? They can't even write a PROPER SENTENCE let alone a PARAGRAPH!

My father idolized them as well. When the Discovery (I believe that's the correct name but if I'm wrong someone PLEASE CORRECT ME) blew up in the early 2000's I came down the steps in the morning to find my father sobbing and repeating over and over, "they were all torn to pieces. My god they were ALL TORN TO PIECES!" I had to spend a good amount of time to calm my father down (involving plenty of scotch and pampering). It was my father's childhood dream to be an astronaut. To see those little shits mock the people my father respected and loved so much...it made me so damn MAD!

Clearly these hooligans need a visit from the NASAghasts.
