Earthcam "travelling"

Since I can't afford to travel, I looked for other ways to visit cities around the world. Finally I found "earthcam" which features livecam pics from so many places. Hardly a day passes on which I don't "visit" Times Square in New York:

You can also visit other cities by clicking on "See more earthcams", or those not mentioned in the left side tool bar by using their search machine. Some offer less interesting location views like an office, but many concentrate on major tourist attractions.

What a comfortable way to travel! 😎

I am really lucky having a dad with alot of money so I've seen alot of the world already; despite being quite young. I'm just doing the really cheap kind of travel at the moment, like hiking around Europe during summer-holidays and sleeping in youth-hostels.. I spent last time some $500 during a 3 month holiday in Spain... (my dad pays for the study AND the rent )

Close...and yet

Still so far away. Closest camera I can find is exit 53 on the Long Island Expressway, which IS in Suffolk County, but still about 9 exits away from QVille....lol. Nice site though...the streaming video is cool if you have broadband to run it with. Q

Click on "Live Auto" to make it refresh automatically every few seconds. It shows our beautiful medieval main square, less than a mile from my home... 🙄

Looks foggy out there, or is that rain? Quick, run over there and start waving Hal! 😉 Guess I'll have to lobby for an earthCam out here near the ocean....it would make a nice picture, especially if we get one of the old lighthouses into it as well as the water! Q

Probably the camera lens is dirty... We've had clear weather here for days, and rather warm spring temperatures (around 70 F). You'll have to check again during our daytime (before 1 pm EST).
