We begin our story in 1734 with beautiful genius, the scientist Émilie du Châtelet conducting some experiments with static electricity a century before Faraday. She accidentally causes a temporal shift in one of her experiments and ends up with a tiny stunning American girl from our time in a box forming part of her equipment.
The girl thinks she has entered a giant world and that Émilie is a giantess. It is the voice of the American girl we will eventually be hearing.
The American girl's hair is standing on end with the static and Emilie is trying to discharge some of what is a huge charge for a tiny girl into her own body by holding the smaller woman's arm.
