End Of Summer

with summer fading fast, the hollywood brother is wondering what people did this summer and is it reallyl over for you yet? The hollywood brother has plans to trek to wildwood new jersey to enjoy sun, sand, ocean, ticklish women, and the summertime feel. It may be past labor day but the hollywood brother is not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet.

FINALLY! A recent thread where I can get the 1st post....😛

Sadly though, its been boring on my part, though I did go see a lot of places. (Croatia, Slovakia, something else I cant remember, and Hungary). Hungary was mostly spent with my grandparents, so the days went by slooooowly. ("Did you brush you teeth today dear?"..."Nope"😛) And of course the flight was like taking 4ever, though I had some pretty cool movies, (RV for one, Ice Age 2, etc.), however my screen froze, so after Ice Age 2, I couldn't watch a thing. XD

So how was urs? 😉

the hollywood brother didn ot let summer go just yet. yesterday the hollywood brother partied in the atlantic coean and enjoyed the fine clean beaches of wildwood new jersey. summer to the hollywood brother is in his heart and soul and the hollywood brother do not let it go lightly every year

I'm not going to miss the heat wave I've had to endure for the past month or so, but it did seem that summer came to a close a bit too quickly. The pain is I'm gonna have to start looking for warmer shirts before too long.

I'd rather take a heat wave than go back 2 college; I mean come on! I got 2 hours of hw on the first day...THE FIRST DAY?! And 2day....Jeeeezz, I got like 3 more hours 2 go...taking a break. 😉

Trust me, you don't want anything to do with Mid-America summer heat. I worked daily in it and every day 105 degrees (F) NO shade and where I work is almost like an over when sitting still.
I would sometimes love to trade the homework for this job, but...........

My mom also debunks the global warming thing when she talk s about the good ol' days. Those weather records havent been broken, not even this summer. Think about it 30 straight days of 100 or more degrees every day no rain, hot nights. Add in the mid-west humidity and your asking for dangerous trouble.

It was 1954 folks. And she was pregnant to boot. This was back in the days before houses had air conditioning like we know it today

You know, I recall something; I could take a heatwave without airconditioning no problem until I didnt know about it. The moment we got a CAR that had airconditioning, I couldnt live without it. It must have something to do with you imagining that "Not everyone has to endure this..."....if I'm not making sense, sorry. Its late. 😛

naw you are making sense. I had AC in my car for years and hardly used it. Of course you get acclimated to the heat but also I have noticed as I grow older that this time take to acclimate takes longer and requires a lot of breaks in between.
If you don't mind the terminology, I think we "pussyfied"ourselves over the years and made things too easy on us not knowing the consequences later.

The best part about air conditioners is their propensity to change their own settings. For example, one set at 75 will migrate to the 78-81 range.

I didnt have much of a summer at all. I worked my ass off harder than I have all year. I'm thankful for the few outtings I had with my gf and other friends tho; allowed me to decompress and maintain my cool during these stressful times.

Ah well, another year...
