What a crappy anti-climax! All I can say is, David Seaman is lucky he doesn't play for Columbia! If he did, his security bill would go through the roof when he got home!:Grrr: :disgust:
 
Beckham says Seaman can't take the blame for that. Becks reckons it was just a fluke cross that somehow went into the net. I think it was an amazing shot, taken because Ronaldinho could see Seaman was 2 steps off his line. Still, unlucky for Seaman and an unfortunate way to end his international career.
 
Judging from the way he shaped up to it and the direction he was looking in, I think it was a miss hit cross. Given that Seaman has been so prolific throughout the tournament, I think it would be unfair to publicly pillory him for England's exit. The whole team played like an abject bunch of tossers to be honest, especially in the second half, when they had the numerical advanage and NO excuses. After all the build up, I cannot believe we surrendered our world cup hopes in such a pathetic and geriatric way.

Still, Seaman might have saved it anyway if he didn't have his hair in his eyes. Maybe now the tart'll get a hair cut.😀
 
By the way, one thing I was disgusted to read about was the way that 90% of Scotland fans reacted to this match. In the past I've been a "team player" where the home nation's football teams are concerned, rooting for Scotland and Wales when they were playing other games. However in Scotland on Friday the sports stores could'nt keep up with the demand for Brazillian shirts and glasweigan pubs were full to the brim with jocks hollering for the south american side. They went mental when the game ended; acting as if Rob Roy and William Wallace had risen from the grave and formed a caber tossing tag team!

Allegedly, one jock turned to an english bloke in one pub and said "Hoo das if feel tae na yae've been beaten well and trooly ya english bassa?"

Well given the fact that this bloke was a Scotland fan, he should have known the answer to that one. They havn't even managed to qualify for the finals for 12 years.🙄 :cool2:
 
I thought Scotland were good at soccer... Didn't England try and pinch Giggs from Wales to play for them?

Oh red indian, do try and read what he actually said. Giggs did play for England a LONG time ago.
 
Not one to split hairs but...........

it depends how you define "played", if he had played a full international game (and thereby secured a cap) he would not be elligable to play for any country other than England, so as he now plays for Wales as a full international it must follow that he has not "played" for England.
 
To be 100% accurate, Ryan Giggs played for the England under 21 side, when he was ..err......under 21.😕

He was never capped at full international level though, so that opened the door to play for Wales, because of his heritage. The question is, why the hell would he want to? I'm presuming of course that Giggs would one day want to play in the finals of an International tournament......😕 😕 😕 (Something he could'nt have ever done anyway if he HAD been Scottish!:blaugh: :blaugh: :blaugh: :blaugh: :cool2: :cool2:

Giggs is English but for some reason he decided he wanted to play full internationals for the Welsh side. One of his parents is Welsh apparently and that enabled him to swap sides. Git! We could have done with him.
