Erotic tickling on British TV

Hi everyone!

I'm a producer on the cult British TV show Eurotrash. The programme is shown on Channel Four TV in the UK and around the world. We are currently making our 15th series and are interested in the world of tickling.

I see that there is going to be a tickling party in Ohio on Halloween - is there anything like that going on in Europe? If so, we'd love to give the world of erotic tickling some much needed exposure. The only condition is that the ticklers live somewhere in Europe (ie Iceland to Turkey and Portugal to Russia!)

We'd love to hear from anyone with any advice, if they know of tickling clubs or events, even if they themselves are not interested in being filmed.

Many thanks and good luck with everything!

Tom Masters

Hi Tom,

as far as I know, gatherings deal only with fun tickling, erotical aspects are usually reserved for partners only, and not in public. Gatherings aren't 'Swinger Parties'. But maybe some members who have attended gatherings will know more about that.

A few years ago, I helped 2 German TV stations to prepare reports on erotic tickling, and the broadcast was quite a success. So if you're investigating erotic tickling for your show, try to get interview partners with some experience. One of the German reporters managed to dig up five couples who were into tickling, plus a professional view from a psychologist and a domina from a BDSM studio. He even found a young couple who performed some erotic tickling on TV.

Just a few ideas... 🙂
Good luck!

Erotic tickling

Thanks for the information - it was very interesting. How do you define erotic tickling though? Surely for anyone who finds tickling sexually exciting, any tickling is erotic? or am I missing the point?

Do you have any suggestions of people I could contact in Germany or elsewhere in Europe who have tickle gatherings?

Many thanks again!

Tom

Actually, although I find tickling sexual when it's with my partner, I don't always feel that way. I can tickle my friend or my cousin and not think of it as being intimate. It can be fun and playful, and in fact very innocent at times. But of course this is not the case for everyone.

An American here

In the case for most men tickling is always erotic. What is seen as fun and innocent or playful by the 'vanilla' world as we call it is really a dirty sexual fantasy for most of us. There is nothing innocent about this forum either. Minors are not allowed to come here just as minors are not allowed to view BDSM or other sexual sites.

I hope that Eurotrash's show on erotic tickling is a success. This community does need some more mainstream exposure.

Thanks

We'd love to hear from more people like you who want to see tickling get some mainstream exposure...

Do you know any ticklers/ticklees in Europe?

Tom, will you actually be hosting a "ticklers/ticklees segment" on the show? Will it be something like Yaqi did on the Howard Stern show over in the US?

P.S. Will you please give the sack to that annoying French bloke, who thinks he's talented? ( :blaugh: )

Eurotrash

Jim,

It would depend on whom we found to take part. Ideally, we would like to find a gathering of people into tickling and film how they go about holding a tickling party. Whom we find and what they usually get up to will dictate the format the piece would take. I'm beginning to lose faith in finding anyone though...

We really need non-UK Europeans willing to be filmed tickling.

Any ideas? Much appreciated...

PS Sacking Antoine is not something I can do, but he is a very talented actor and film director. The persona on Eurotrash is just that. He even speaks excellent English in real life too!

I'm not suprised that you're not having any luck mate. Europeans are a lot more reticent about this than Americans. 🙁 You might be more sucessfull if you went after the Stern approach though, as it was smaller scale but still entertaining. Did you watch that piece?

No I did not see the Sterne piece. What happened?

Stern had had a segment on his show for a while, that comprised of beautiful (and in Carmen Electra's case, exceptionally dumb) women being strapped into a chair and tickled when they got questions wrong. (Or sometimes just for the fun of it.)

Needless to say this show quickly became very popular with this community, even if Stern has less charisma than a potted cactus.

Yaqi is one of the people in the community who runs a video company that produces tickling videos for buyers. Either Stern called him or Yaqi called Stern and he ended being a guest on the show.

The guy was demonstrating novel tickling techniques to the audience on a young model who was tied to a bed in the studio. As the segment went on and Yaqi was inducing higher and higher levels of hysteria in the girl, the crew were themselves fighting to keep from laughing. (Guess they didn't appreciate how "technical" tickling could be before this.)

From what I've heard it was quite a popular episode and more or less the climax of Stern's tickling material. (Not heard of him doing it for a while.)

Yaqi's "act" was basically to show how tickle the best. Lotion on the feet, using implements and going on her ribcage, etc etc etc. Have you thought about doing something similar if you can't actually film at a tickling gathering?

Tom, for me tickling becomes erotic if it happens with a sexual intent, e.g. as a form of foreplay, or tickling a nude woman. Tickling in non-sexual context may arouse me as well, if I see another woman being tickled (in mainstream movies, or some strangers at the beach/in the park/on the street), but I’ve also tickled women without any sexual intent or arousal, just for the fun of the act itself.

The latter is what happens at a gathering: tickling for fun. I won’t deny that this may cause arousing feelings in some of the participants as well, but it’s not what I would define as ‘erotic tickling’.

As for gatherings in Europe, well, the circles of tickle-enthusiasts here are much smaller than in the States. Take Germany, for example. The German equivalent of this forum has about 80 members, and about one post a week, if we’re lucky. No pics, no clips, just a small story section. There have been several attempts to organize a meeting, but they have failed so far. Our special interest is almost unknown in Germany (despite my mainstream efforts), so it’s seen as a pervert quirk by society. Therefore, most tickle-fans prefer to remain anonymous. I seriously doubt that anyone would show up for a gathering if a TV team is present. My advice is to forget that approach to the topic. Gatherings are not very representative for most of the tickling in real life, anyway.

I know several BDSM studios where they have some experience with tickling (I introduced many of them myself to our topic). Interview some of the girls there, and maybe you can find one of their steady clients to play along for the camera. Certainly you will find some professional strippers/actors to perform a tickle stunt in one of the well-equipped studios. I’d even try to help you with a personal interview myself (although I’m not really model-like…), or perform the tickler role with one of the girls, showing a few implements and techniques, all subject to certain conditions, of course. Just drop me a line at [email protected] .

Ask some sex-therapists and psychology pros what they think of tickling, maybe you could even find some real-life couples by publishing an ad in local newspapers (I’d gladly help you with the text and translation). I could give you tapes of the 2 German TV reports on tickling, if you like.

Another possible approach: there are two German and one French producers of tickling videos, and I don’t know how many Italian. Interview them, and maybe one or two of their models. I can help you with some contacts as well.

Just make sure it doesn’t turn out to be a report on some weirdos, making them look ridiculous as Howard Stern did. It’s a harmless, fun approach to a completely new world of sensuality for open-minded people. And laughter has been scientifically proved to be very healthy indeed, so our favorite play is really a good step towards a healthy society… 🙂

i would not have anything to do with eurotrash. those who have ever seen it will know that all they do is take the piss - thats why its europeans only: they want to have a laugh at them. leave well alone...

I'd agree with that actually. Eurotrash makes Stern look sophisticated. And where they hell did they get the idea that that French geezer had talent? I've had thorns in my arse that were less annoying.

I don't like Stern, but...

At least he has had women tickled (some celebrities) on his show! 🙂

It was definatley fun to watch, but he didn't do it in an "educational" way. He did it to get cheap laughs and a few more points on the ratings. 🙁 What the hell, it was better than nothing in a way.

Why else would he do it? He's an idiot who'll do anything to get cheap laughs and ratings, and so are the other people who work with him, especially Robin Quivers (or whatever the hell her name is!) It's sad that there people who are actually fans of his show 🙁

Indeed.🙁 *shrugs*

tickling

I'd say in fairness that Eurotrash is very light-hearted and certainly features the unusual in sex, but it's not there to mock anybody, it's there to be funny and enjoyable. The British public are notoriously uptight about sex, and rather than taking the piss out of Europeans, I'd say we are there to entertain a late-night audience with a bit of fun and titilation...

ok, ok, fair enough... i'd have thought that anyone watching eurotrash would have to be pretty open minded if they weren't disgusted after the first five minutes. still, i'd prefer to have MTP's Jeff represent the community (as he has done on the playboy channel) than any old european who just wants some cheap thrills.

Jeff

Who is Jeff? Maybe he would be interested in representing the community. Is he Europe-based? Thanks.

No Tom, he's an american based in Las Vegas. He just happens to be one of the more tasteful producers of tickling media material.
