Is there a place on the TMF for essays ?

I prefer to post less often, but put more into a single given piece of wrting. (No insult to anyone on the other end of the spectrum, it's just the context I prefer.)

It would be nice to have a place where each member could post their own essay(s) for others to read in a single frame of reference, outside of the threaded discussion context.

Don't get me wrong; the threads are great (indeed, a central and critical aspect of the place) and I intend to make myself present there (well, at least a little bit) but I was thinking that it would be useful for those who are really interested in learning about others (and letting others learn a little more about them) to have an essay section, without other members' comments.

If it's already here, mods please point me in the direction.

Depends on the topic....

If it's framed around tickling, and fairly lengthy,or if you plan on expanding on it later, I'd post it under Stories. I have one in there called Musings Of An Aging Predator that I use when I'm in that sort of mood. If it's general fodder for thought, throw it up in Gen Discussion. If it's fairly short and/or a one time thing and TK based at all, use the Tickling Section. It can always be moved as needed and if requested...just drop a line to the Mods. Q

P50, from someone who posts long ass threads all the time, just post the essay. Start now. Write it, and if people flame you, just ignore them. You don't HAVE to answer back to hateful comments if they come at you. You'll get more compliments or intelligent debate than insults anyway.
I prefer longer posts because you can get more points across, anyway. If we started a religious discussion, or debated whether Islam is a good or bad religion, or politics, one or two sentences usually won't cut it, anyway.

I'll be waiting to read them buddy!
