Ever came across a someone you know on a dating site?

Just a simple question that i'm curious to hear answers too. i have not personal experience or story ....though there have been times were i've look nearby where i live and i swear i know them but not at all. Sometimes you think of the people you met in school and think ok does them possibly being on this dating site surprise me or not.


Have you ever gone into one of the many dating sites of both types. Basic Dating websites or the ones with webcam models & private stuff. Have you ever been on one and discovered someone that you actually know or remember from school or something? What was it like to discover it?

You mean like the one that ignores your messages and you go out with a friend one night to a random bar and she sees you and acts crazy because you went outside? Maybe just once. So much for "giving people a chance".

A gentleman that I used to have a crush on actually had found me on one and we had quite a lovely conversation. I was in an open relationship (please don't judge, it was a consensual decision with me and mine) so it didn't lead anywere as that part weirded him out.

Yeah, happens all the time. OKCupid, Bumble, and Tinder have tried to match me with coworkers, friends, and former friends multiple times. Facebook also has a penchant for finding women I've met and started texting on these sites and saying "You may know this person", which can be all kinds of awkward.

Sometimes I match with 'em just to see what'll happen.

Yep! It's been fairly common. It's weird seeing coworkers on those sites sometimes.

LOL. Yes as a matter of fact. I saw one of my ex's had a profile on a dating site but we were still seeing each other at the time she uploaded it. Guess it explains why I caught her in my apartment's bed with a former best friend.
