Ever see a ghost or experience something supernatural?

Ok, first off, if it was when someone grabbed your ankle when you got out of bed, that was me, I'll come clean.

But OTHER than that.......(lol)......

I lived in an apartment that was haunted, I had three distinct incidents that happened and before that, I had no inclination to believe, I hadn't experienced anything like that before.....it made me a believer in.......something! I don't know what! It was an old building, I can say that much.

I shall write these three instances down, for the Forum! But not now! First.....breakfast! I'll write it later.....or maybe closer to Halloween! That doesn't mean YOU can't write now, though. What happened......how did you feel....did anyone else see it?......did it ever happen again?.....the whole bit, let's hear it. Scare the bejesus out of me, us. Maybe by pooling our collective stories we can get to the bottom of this whole thing!

I've had people tell me that they've had experiences with the supernatural but I've never experienced it myself. I'm unfortunately inclined to not believe any of the stories though because most of them sounded more fantastical than realistic. For example, one person told me that they were laying down in bed (either naked or not wearing much, can't remember as it was a while ago) and she suddenly couldn't move and felt like she was being mercilessly tickled for a few minutes but no one was in the room. It just sounds too much like a day dream to me to really put any stock into it.

I have another friend who says she has a connection with a "spirit guardian". It's nothing sexual like the previous but she says she has felt a presence in her room and has had some kind of interaction with this person. I don't really know what to make of it because she's in a pretty bad place right now (she's been recovering from a concussion for a year now and is not quite happy about how long this is taking and how much she's missing out on in life). It sounded to me like she's kind of desperate for guidance or some form of assistance since she's getting none from the doctors she's seeing but because I've never experienced supernatural stuff before I can't say it's impossible either. If it's helping her and it doesn't cause problems in the future, I don't really care to be honest.

I've heard a lot of stories and I do mean a lot but personally I've only had 2 experiences which I can't explain. I've probably told them both on a similar thread but I'll repeat the creepiest one. I was still in high school at the time and decided on the spur of the moment to visit a friend. Her parents went to catch a movie or something. We chatted for a while and 2 of her cousins from out of town dropped by as well. It was hot and muggy, without as much as a breeze. I don't recall how the subject of the supernatural came up but she asked us if we had ever used a ouija board before and we all said we hadn't. Anyway, it was after dark and they decided we should make one. We used small post it notes and a glass. They copied out all the letters of the alphabet, the numbers from 0 to 9, yes/no, hello/goodbye, which we placed on a circular table. She lit a candle, turned out the lights, held up the glass and asked us to repeat " spirit, spirit, come into the glass". I felt like a total idiot because I believed it was utter nonsense but I repeated it along with everyone else. She placed the glass inverted inside the homemade ouija board and told us to place the tips of our fingers as lightly as possible on the top, which actually was the bottom of the glass and we did. We had barely placed our fingers on it when the glass shot to the word hello. We took turns asking questions and it would spell out the answers without making any errors. I know for a fact that I wasn't pushing on the glass, I couldn't feel any resistance from their fingers either and how could it move so fast without misspelling words? Whatever it was told us it was a girl, gave us her full name and said she had drown in a lake. A burst of cool air came through the window, blowing the candle out. They all screamed and I said; fuck this! We're playing with something we shouldn't be playing with! That was the end of that, we tore everything up and threw it down the garbage disposal, except for the glass and candle holder. None of us, to my knowledge at least, have ever tried it since. We talk about it now and then and laugh, but it didn't seem very funny at the time.

I do some freelance videography to make some extra money and I once worked on a short documentary about ghost hunters. We documented an investigation they conducted at a hotel in my hometown that has long been rumored to be haunted. I didn't see or experience anything paranormal during this little adventure, but I am fully convinced that these folks truly believe in ghosts and spirits and what not. I try to be pretty open minded about stuff so I have not shut my mind off to the possibility that ghosts exist in some form or another

I once had what I believed to be a poltergeist in my apartment. For a few weeks, things would randomly fall off of shelves and counters (and I'm not that messy!).

Mine is kinda personal....I was sitting at my computer one day, just browsing...doing whatever, when from down the hallway, I heard a small child's voice say, "Mama!!" Sweet and clear as a bell....I stopped what I was doing right away to go look - even though I knew I would not find anything or anyone since I was home alone....this happened about a year after giving birth to a still-born son.....I don't know about you all...but I thought it was kind of heart-warming to hear that.

Never had any such experiences myself, and don't remember anyone I've known having one. I approach the paranormal by saying I just don't know.

This happened when I was a young teen. I was in bed, trying to get to sleep. I turned to a different position, which meant I was now looking at a window with a table beside it. On that table sat a crouched, grinning, gargoyle-looking thing, which then vanished. And, no, I wasn't even near sleeping yet, let alone dreaming. But, never saw the critter again. If he shows up tonight.......
