everyone is ticklish?

So I got in a heated argument with someone bout people who are not ticklish. Apparently people believe that everyone is ticklish you just have to find a spot or they have tolerance. Now I agree there are people with high tolerance (especially if they hate it), but I do believe that there are people who are just literally not ticklish. I mean i've got friends who use to be and aren't and I some that just literally aren't no matter who tried, so what do u guys believe?
 
Well, I suppose it depends on how you define 'ticklish'.

The sensation of being tickled is a physiological reaction to being touched or prodded. Technically, any reaction at all to someone touching you that isn't strictly voluntary can be considered a ticklish response.

As far as what we commonly refer to as being ticklish, though? No, I don't think everyone is ticklish. I think everyone has a different threshold of sensitivity to touch, and people with a high enough threshold simply can't be tickled; the involuntary reaction just isn't powerful enough to produce the reaction of laughter or twitching or whatever you want to consider the proper response to being tickled.
 
The person I know used to be ticklish before. But aftertime, he got used to it so much that he's no longer ticklish.

So in turn what you say is true, Dragon. NOT everyone is ticklish, because I believe that there may be some that so immune to being ticklish regardless on weather the ticklers are good at tickling or not.

Of course, I don't know if it's safe to say this...but the only way that can be known as a fact to them is if they have proof.

I feel ticklish sensation but have a great ability to limit my response to being tickled...to just movement to try to avoid tickling... I think its a psychological thing.. I ws forced into laughter, involuntary, with some upperbody tickling... I would really like to find the ultimate tickler and submit to a no limit tickling to find out. I can be a sadistic tickler, and love it.... but would like to find an expert tickler who would be willing to try.
guess I would like to be the guinea pig LOL

Makes me think lers who aren't ticklish have bragging rights. "Revenge? Sure, you can try." :stickout :lol
 
Not to mention that when there are some that's not ticklish, the best combination I can think of is being with one that's 100% ticklee. Being with those that switch, well he/she best not thinking about getting revenge on someone that's can't be tickled. Or that would be a disappointment or downfall. XD
 
There are many, who are not ticklish at all. Some ticklers I know aren't ticklish, which is funny, because there's no chance for their victims to get revenge.
 
There are people who are not ticklish.
But some say and think they are not ticklish, but with certain methods,and in the right situation, they sometimes find that they are in fact ticklish.

The real fun ones are those that say they are not, but we think they may be lol
 
Not ticklish?

People who are not ticklish don't have a soul. Just kidding. It would be awful boring to not be ticklish though I think. Do they have really good controll of there bodies and are too embarrassed to let anyone know they are ticklish? That's what I think. I can't imagine being immune to tickling.

you be surprise at the people who are immune to tickling actually, the others who don't wan anyone to know are usually ones who hate being tickled by others so they hide it so no one knows

How do they hide it though? If something or someone brushes up against me it tickles and I can't hold it in! I can even tickle myself. It is not nearly as intense as being tickled by someone else, but not being ticklish seems impossible to me.
 
people develop hi tolerances for spots or for tickling in general. Especially being tickled alot probably at younger ages, they tend to no longer be affected by it.
 
There are some people who have self-control like no others, *suggestively coughs, implying self* whereas there are some whose nerves simply don't respond to a 'lighter' (or potentially heavier) touch. The nerve receptors responsible for feeling tickled are the same ones that respond to pain, though ticklishness is still uncertain in origin/function.
Accordingly, some are simply born without the ability to be tickled. Translation: tickler-to-be-FEARED!
 
I cant imagine having that self control. If I can pretend to not be ticklish for a little while and get the ler to tickle a little longer or more intense I will. You know, kind of taunting them. Tickling is tricky sometimes. It sure is fun though!
 
I'd love to be more ticklish than I am, especially on my upper-body. The only parts of my body where I can be taken beyond my comfort zone are my feet.
