ok everybody... i know i havent really contributed much to this forum, but i would REALLY appreciate it if everyone would go listen to my bands song... right now it is the #1 rock song in my city on mp3.com... im trying to spread our music around, hoping to attract record companies.... so everyone PLEASE go listen to the song...

Well, I downloaded it and I have to say it's pretty good. The sound quality itself leaves a little to be desired, the lyrics are a bit hard to make out. But, these are the trials of a new band. I liked the overall feel of the tune, and the solo was pretty cool. I wish you lots of success!😎

I liked the song, but the recording needs a lot of help. For one thing, the drums were way too quiet. It sounded like you just stereo mic'ed them. For this kind of music, you need to use more mics on them.

I have a small studio. Write me at [email protected], and I can give you some pointers on how to get a good sound with limited equipment.

Also, I noticed that you live in Central Florida. Have you tried getting a recording done at Full Sail? You can record for free in one of there million dollar studios. The only catch is that it done by students. An instructor is overseeing the whole process though. You also only get a rough mix done by the instructor before you go (but they usually sound pretty good). But hey, were else are you gonna get recorded on a SSL 9000J or a Neve VR60 for free?

ok so the recording... i know its not the greatest sound, but its not mastered yet, and its not the greatest equipment... but its free, and the guy who is doing it is cool so im happy with it... we actually might be recording with this guy that my neighbor knows... the entire upstairs of his house is a studio... creed recorded their most recent cd there... i think the drums were stereo mic'ed, but i wasnt in the room at the time so i dont know... in my opinion, the drums, bass, and distorted guitar need to be turned up... and here are the lyrics...

the singer writes alot of poetry so they have a lot of metaphors and stuff... its pretty cool... so ya thanx for your input and thanx to anyone else who listens to the song...

we will have more songs up, we just have to get back in the "studio" and keep goin on it...
