I have news that will make your mood much better. My field foreman just hit a major gas strike in the field right outside the city of Toronto, just waiting for investors. Please call me ASAP , I think we need to talk" John said.
Ross took out his cell phone and dialed John 's number. "John, this is Ross. I just got home from OKC as you know. What is this about a major gas strike just outside of Toronto?" Ross asked.
"Just what I said. My field people hit a major gas strike right outside the city yesterday. Now we are just waiting for investors. You are the man when it comes to getting investors. I think we need to meet" John said.
"John, I just got home from OKC. I must stay in New York this week to deal with RossShell business. Without getting into details that are unethical, I am undergoing a major reorganization for a client that must get done ASAP It was delayed because of my trip to OKC, but must start now. How about, I come up there early Friday morning for the day, you give me specifics about the strike I take them home, we discuss it in conference call with Steve, Fritz, you and I, and then figure it out" Ross suggested.
"That's fine. Fritz and Steve already know about this. We will talk before Friday" John said.

"So why on earth do you look upset? Thats good news. It will enable you to have something to look forward to later this week, and put the bad OKC trip behind you" Kayley said./

"Terrible, but I dont care about that anymore. I have to go to Toronto on Friday to meet with John Fish, a guy who Fritz, Steve, and I are involved with in Canadian oil and gas wells. John said they just hit a major strike in a field outside the city of Toronto Now I have to go up to see John, and we have to figure out where to get investors from" Ross said.

Ross spent that week working on Tim;s monthly campaign, and also showing one of his Vice Presidents specifically how to do the campaign, and how to prepare to transfer at least some of Tim's work to Ross's VP's or a VP, to make Ross's work life easier, as Ross and Tim had previously agreed to.
As the week went along, Kayley said to Ross.
"Ross, with this being such a major strike, and the disappointment you had in OKC last time, I strongly suggest that since you don't know Mister Fish that well, and that you, Fritz and Steve share the strike with him and his people, please go up there, and do a lot of listening. Please dont turn it into "Ross does the driving" I think John would appreciate that. Whatever you, Fritz and Steve get out of this is gravy. The bottom line is, John's direct field people found the strike, yours did not. Please do not be greedy. You will find another good strike in OKC again. What happened last time was just a strikeout. Will you please take that advice?" Kayley suggested.

Ross tried to spend the rest of that week productively, working on Tim's account himself, discussing how to share Tim's work with one of his Vice Presidents, talking to Fritz, Steve and John on the phone.
On Thursday afternoon, Ross got a not surprising phone call from Fritz and Steve.
"Ross, you know that we love you. Please, I appeal to you as your best friend, and your partner. This strike could be as major of a strike as we have hit down here. It would be very important for us to get it. None of us know Mister Fish that well. While we are technically "involved with him" It is not like you, I and Steve have with RFS Oil and Gas. RFS Oil and Gas is our baby. We answer to no one but each other, we are equal partners. It is a different situation with John. Steve and I know that you are a very excitable guy. We love you for it, but in this case, please, please stay calm. Let John lead. We will be in like Flynn if you do, and we will be fucked out of potentially a lot of money if you dont, got it?" Fritz said.
"Mister P, you sound like Miss Kayley. Yes, I've got it, and yes, Ross promises that Ross will keep his big mouth shut" Ross said.
That night, Ross went home, got a good night's sleep, then took a very early flight to Toronto for what he hoped was just the day to meet John Fish about the major strike, and Ross carried an overnight bag, just in case.
As the flight took off, Ross was headed into a major unknown.
