The Repost Police can be among the most tedious in this section of the Forum. If something was posted two days ago, and it's still on Page 1 of the section, that's one thing but stuff like this, where you can't really search by actress or movie title, I mean....who cares if it's a repost?
If a person is taking the time to create a thread, cut and paste the link, and share it with the Forum because they were thinking "hey, someone else might enjoy this", then they cancel out the peanut gallery who just sits and bitches and moans. Most of those people - the Repost White Knights who swoop down like Batman - NEVER post ANYTHING here. And it's not just that they feel compelled to point it out; they almost always are snarky and snotty about it. Instead of saying "Thanks for posting, thanks for thinking of us, this actually is a repost", it's always with the attitude of "what are you an asshole? This is a repost" .
This section used to be the friendliest of the Forum, bar none. I am constantly looking at ancient threads as I update the Ticklish Celeb lists. The difference between then and now is unsubtle.
When someone gives you a gift - and you open it and discover it's something you already own -do you just throw it in their face and snap "I've got it already"? Come on, TMF, get some fucking manners. I know of at least great poster who got chased off by the Repost Cops, never to be heard from again, and I'd rather have that member back on the board than all the Repost Gestapo combined.
