Ross turned over, grunted at the phone, and figured he would deal with it. "In the morning"
The next morning, Kayley awakened, and left for work.
Ross was feeling dizzy. He stumbled into the den, called the office, and said that he did not know if he would be in that day.
Ross tried to focus on paper work, but he could not, as the dizzy spells were just two much to overcome.
On the way back to the bedroom, Ross lost his balance, and almost fell. At that point, Ross knew he needed to do something.
Ross called the visiting nurse company, and said. "This is Ross C, I really need someone here ASAP I'm having terrible dizzy spells, nearly fell over, and may need to go to my botique Doctor's office, but I cannot go alone" Ross said to the supervisor nurse.
"Of course, Ross, please just go sit in your living room near the door. A nurse will be over in 15 to 30 minutes to either sit with you until your wife gets home, or take you to your Doctor" the nurse head said.
Ross sat in the living room. The doorman called Ross's cell phone to let Ross know that a nurse was on the way up, and Ross slowly made his way to the door to answer it.
"Thank you for coming over as quickly as you did. I'm having dizzy spells, and really dont want to be here alone. Please just stay here with me, and when my wife comes home, we will see" Ross said.
"Of course, Ross. If I have to take you to your Doctor, we will do so" The nurse said.
Ross called his Botique Doctor. The office informed Ross that the Doctor was detained for the day, but could see Ross the next day. Ross agreed to that.
When Kayley got home, she saw the nurse there, and knew something was wrong.
"Okay, Ross. What happened? I know that something did because there is a nurse here with you and you are here instead of at the office" Kayley said.
"I had a dizzy spell and nearly fell in the den. I knew that I could not go into the office and did not want to be here alone Thus, I was responsible, and called a nurse" Ross said calmly.
"Would you like me to stay, Kayley?" The nurse asked.
"Thank You, nurse. Its okay. We can manage. I will call again if we need help. We will of course need a nurse to take Ross to the Doctor tomorrow" Kayley said.
"I will sign on to come back tomorrow, and take Ross to the Doctor. " The nurse said.
"Thank You" Kayley said, as the nurse left.
"Okay Let's stay out here, order dinner. We will relax, and then drift off whenever we want" Kayley said.
"How about some wild sex complete with bondage and tickling of teacher?" Ross quipped.
"In your dreams! Not until you feel better, Market" Kayley said, lovingly but firmly.
Kayley ordered two pastas with red sauce and salads. The meal came. Kayley answered the door, put the food on the table. She got iced tea, and the couple ate quietly.
After sitting up to digest their food, Ross and Kayley climbed into bed, holding each other.
Both could not sleep. They were dozing, and holding each other. Kayley was tired from her day of work, while Ross just lied there staring at the ceiling.
The next morning, Kayley dashed into the shower, and kissed Ross goodbye. The nurse came, Kayley left, and Ross and the nurse climbed into the Uber to the botique Doctor in Manhattan.
When Doctor K , who gave Ross his Botox shots, came out to take Ross into the examining Room, Ross explained to Doctor K that what Ross was experiencing was not "pain" but dizzy spells.
Doctor K gave Ross certain neurlogical tests. Follow Doctor K's finger direction, etc. When Ross was told to do the one foot after the other walk test, Ross nearly fell.
"Unsteady, and a bit dizzy,. Doctor" Ross said.
Doctor K explained that the dizzy spells were essentially a "muted migraine" with the migraine pain being essentially obscured by the Botox shot.
Doctor K gave Ross a strong prescription pain med that Doctor K told Ross he was to immediately fill and take if any additional dizzy spells continued. If the dizzy spells persisted, Ross would need an MRI.
Ross's next Botox shot was scheduled one month later. Until then, Doctor K told Ross to use the strong medication only as needed if any dizzy spells or pain occurred.
Ross thanked Doctor K, and went home in the Uber with the nurse. Ross texted Kayley. "Saw Doctor K. The dizzy spells are a muted migraine. Doctor K said that it is essentially a migraine that would be terrible pain if I did not have the Botox shot in me. Doctor K said that if these dizzy spells or any pain continue, I will need an MRI" Ross wrote.
"Okay, see you when I get home. Please just rest" Kayley wrote back.
"You know it" Ross wrote.
When Ross got home, he called Victor.
"Grounded at home today. Saw the headache Doctor. I'm having dizzy spells that he said are a muted migraine, which would be terrible pain if I did not have the Botox shot in me. Will let you know about tomorrow" Ross said.
"Okay, most importantly just rest and feel better. All is quiet here. We will tell everyone that you are home sick, and we cant put calls through. We know that you can just not answer your cell phone if you dont want to talk" Vic said.
"The only people I want to talk to are Kayley, my Dad, you if need be, and my Doctors. Besides that, Ross is grounded, hopefully for a short time" Ross said, hanging up.
Kayley came home. "I will deal with this. We will let you know about tomorrow" Kayley said.
"Okay, both of you have a good night" The nurse said.
Kayley led Ross to the bedroom. Ross was extremely frustrated, but also relieved that he had gotten an explanation after the near fall.
Ross and Kayley drifted off to sleep,. although neither said much.
