Fantasy tickle shoes thread...

😀 Only a fantasy, I know, but what would be your design for a pair of "tickling shoes"? What style would they be, what would they look like..what tickling features would they have? How torturous would they be to the wearer...in your imagination...?

I had an idea roughly on paper one time. Don't know how well it would have worked, but the idea was OK, at least I think.

One needs those type of footwear that has the very thick soles. I'm not up on fashion, so I don't know what they're called. Anyhow, a small motor somewhat like the stepper motor on a computer floppy drive mounted in the sole. The motor has a worm gear like shaft on it roughly a couple of inches long coming out of it. To this could be mounted bristles, or whatever fairly stiff brush like material mounted on the shaft. The batteries to power the motor is mounted in the heel. At one time you could get an infrared emmiter and receiver package from Radio Shack for a couple of bucks. This would be the control part of the device. The motor is mounted in the shoes so that the bristles just stick out where the sole of the foot would be.

The idea is that the volunteer victim wears these in public. Another person has the remote to control the motors in each shoe/boot. The remote is set up as a "momentary on" device as opposed to a "latching" one. Latching would mean that once you 'click' the remote, the device stays on till you 'click' the device again. Momentary means that as long as you hold it on, it stays on, till you release the button. This is preferable to latching because since the device is 'line of sight', if a bunch of people get between you and the victim, there's no way to turn it off till they get out of the way. That could be good or bad depending on how you want to look at it. Or depending if you have the remote or are wearing the footwear. 8c)

The idea now is that while she is out in public, maybe in a line up of people waiting for your turn to come up, the remote gets turned on, the motor starts rotating the bristles, or whatever, and they, in turn rub against the soles of the poor victim's feet. Try and keep your cool in the crowd with that happening.

Don't know if I explained that in a way to be easily understood, but that was my idea. Only on paper though as I do not have the privelige of having a willing victim to try out my warped ideas.

I like nstklr's idea.
I have seen people use vibrators on feet to tickle in videos. Not sure how well that really works, but I would have many small remote control vibrators in various parts of the shoe. I would use a model airplane remote control with joysticks to control which vibrator was on and it's intensity. I could "fly" the tickles around the foot. The remote would have a LCD display of where I was tickling the foot. The top of the shoes would also have a miniature microphone and video camera pointing up to catch any lee reaction if they were out of sight. I could combine it with nstklr's idea to give variety to the lee.

A more organic idea would be trained tickling gerbils in sole cages. A lee's laughter would trigger a food pellet dispenser.

Very nice Nstklr. My girlfriend has just bought a pair of platform boots that would be perfect. Don't think she'd let me borrow them for preparation though.

Sir, we should team up, I can help you build the shoes, we just need to hollow out some sneaker soles and then get the parts, get them connected and we're set! What say you and I team up?

Hi..... Sorry for teh delay in getting back to you. Things got a tad busy here over the last couple of weeks.

The biggest problem I see is modifying the footwear. The electronics of the project should be no problem for anyone with basic knowledge. As well, there really shouldn't be too much trouble finding small hobby motors from electronic supply houses. I visit a number of these outlets on the web all the time, and the variety is excellent. From stepper motors to the small vibrating motors from cell phones all have possibilities. A source of ready made remote control devices that could be used are those remote control vibrators that were recently showed in a Japanese clip on this site not too long ago. Just substitute the vibrator for your home made device. In all honesty, it may even be cheaper to go this method than building your own from scratch.

The only thing really needed here is your imagination. Give it a try, you may be surprised.
