Duck Tales was my religion.

It should load and play in your browser automatically if your quicktime player is up to date.

I remember the beat and lyrics of the song, very memorable. Nice blast from the past.

Voltron, Transformers, and G.I. Joe made up my childhood cocktail. Watching them now, I realize that you just can't go back.

My favourite childhood cartoons are as follows, in order of favs:

- Biker Mice From Mars (My first boyfriend I ever had was Modo... And I don't care if he was giant cartoon mouse, and I was like 10 years old at the time! He was my first boyfriend!)

- Sonic the Hedgehog (The original one, with Tails and not all those other characters. Sonic was my second boyfriend).

- Reboot (Man, oh man. What a great show. I learned a LOT about computers from that show. :| And Bob was my third boyfriend).

I also liked Earthworm Jim for a time, but... That's more of a show my brother was into. (EWJ used to be my third boyfriend, but I dumped him for Bob ^^).

Yes, I know I had an incredibly queer childhood, but come on: I was like 10 at the time! 12 tops! You can't tell me none of you fell for cartoon characters. ^^

I never had a fave one as a kid...I never watched tv! XD

But when I was 15 I got really into dragonball z

just the cool hair when they turnt super saiyan! XD

I loved it! 😛

Dragonball and Dragonball Z were my altime favourites, and I still remain an OK fan. (I dont own any movies, but I watched as many as I could on TV and own a few games. 😉).

What else...basically anything that was on Cartoon network at that time. I remember watching courage the cowardly dog some years ago....STUPID DOG! XD

KAHMEHAMEHA BUD! XD

There were two shows, "The Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog", and the satAM (saturday morning AM) version "Sonic The Hedgehog". Adventures was more light-hearted and slap-stick, whereas the STH was more in keeping with the series as a whole and was a direct adapation of the comic series/vice versa.

Having been a huge Sonic fan myself at the time, and that you are/were a fan as well, its probably better that you know the satAM version IS the original version as it is in the canon of the series, the video games, and the comic books.

The other one where it's just him and Miles a majority of the time came after the comic books and after satAM.

Actually, even "Adventures" is a spin-off of the comic, as the "badniks" we see here are also in the comic series, and this is linked to the aforementioned satAM. Also, in the game Sonic Spinball, we see these same badniks and other freedom fighters from satAM, further proving that everything is linked to the saturday morning show.

The satAM would prove to mold and shape what the Sonic series is today, as it allowed the series to go beyond that of Sonic himself and this proved to be another huge stepping stone with the whole furry thing.

The original would have lasted alot longer than two seasons but it just wasn't in the plans of the ABC executives who make these decisions.

Thanks for the blast from the past...I used to love Duck Tales too along with Sharky and George (crimebusters of the sea.lol) Alvin and the Chimpmonks,Scooby Doo, Ren and Stimpy,Rocko's Modern Life....oh the list could go on.lol.

there were many that the hollywood brother liked. for example the hollywood brother loved the original transformers cartoon, the g.i. joe cartoon, thundercats was done real well.

it seems the hollywood brother also remembers a cartoon called supercade that featured qbert, pacman and others in adventures. then the holllywood brother can also go back in time and remember the different voltron cartoons with the five lions and the princess

OMG, Vlad, I love your posts! They're always so thought out and incredibly intelligent, as well as professional. Every word in your posts all seem to be edited and perfected, like you're working on something that requires the utmost care.

But in response to your Sonic SatAM vs the other Sonic... I didn't know there were two versions. :| I certainly have never been as much a Sonic fan as you undoubtably are; I just watched it on TV whenever I could. I grew out of it rather quickly, though. I still LOVE Sonic, but I'm not as into it as I used to.

Besides, I can hardly remember that far back, thus I don't really know if I watched one version or the other. And I'm ashamed to admit, but I never read the comics either. 🙁

Thanks, I guess.

The way you worded your first post lead me to believe you knew about both shows, as you said "the original, not the one with the other characters". It made it seem like you knew about both.

It should be easy to remember which one you were watching, since they're completely different.

Here's an informative link to both shows. If you read the plot discription and character names you should remember which one you were watching (unless you were watching both and somehow didn't realize it).

Thanks, Vlad!

I knew of both shows, but I never really watched the SatAM one. Whenever it was on, I'd change the channel. So I knew it existed, I just prefered the other one. Too bad it wasn't very good with ratings and all that: I really liked it. ^^

Thanks for the link and the song, too. 😛 Holy crap, talk about a flash back. ^^ Haven't heard it in so long that I almost forgot what it was like. 😛

Remember EEK! the Cat and The Terrible Thunderlizards? I loved those shows when I was a kid. Those two cartoons were SO FREAKIN' FUNNY!! I REALLY wish they'd release those shows on DVD.
