my favorite is any version of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" even the very loose adaptation starring Johnny Depp..

"Halloween" used to scare the crap out of me, but one year a few years back i decided to watch as many of them as i could..and the more i watched, the less frightening Michael Myers became...it is still a fantastic movie however..

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" my all time favorite Halloween cartoon..and ahh i was a kid when it came out...sighs...

Cool on you, Isabeau. Say, have you ever seen the old Disney animated version of Legend of Sleepy Hollow? I'd love to see that again.

^ yes Rick i have...it was soo good and followed the short story almost exactly..and that Ichabod..his feet were really the size of small boats lol...

fav. halloween movie. i dunno. i dont really have one i guess. it was never really a tradition in my family to watch scary movies at halloween. hmm, how 'bout that?

^ no you just looked in the mirror to get your scares....:ggrin:

ducks and runs like hell...

^ i was kidding silly...and you knew that..

"The Lady in White" was good with Lucas Haas..a good old fashioned ghost story..

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas is a good choice for both holidays (Halloween and Christmas). Not really scary, but quirky, terrific fun and very hip! It had become a theatrical perennial for a while, but doesn't seem to be making the rounds this year... a perfect excuse to rewatch it on DVD.

Well Halloween still ranks high on my list. Another of my favorites this time of year is Dawn of the Dead. Both in their original form I must say.

The Children is a B-movie horror flick which came out in 1980. It used to be on quite a bit in the early 80's in an albeit edited form on Elvira and Commander USA's Groovy Movies. That was is another favorite of mine.

SAW is my favorite one. But I guess that would be more of a thriller than a horror movie I guess.
