Favorite Hawaiian Island

Which is your favorite Hawaiian island?

I love them all but each is different and has different things to offer - I think I like Hawaii, the Big Island, best.

Every time we go we pick a different island but always pair it up with Maui.

I think Maui fulfills the needs of most tourists for the typical exotic resort vacation experience. But for those looking for a more natural island paradise, there is nothing to compare with Kauai.

Kauai has fought hard (but slowly loosing the battle) not to become a resort-centric island as the others have, and still has some of the most spectacular natural treasures a tourist can experience without leaving the US.

I wish someone would open a dungeon like Passive Arts in Hawaii.

Last summer I had the opportunity to take a six week vacation, during which I spent three weeks on Big Island, and three weeks on Maui. I circumnavigated each island by bicycle, so I got to see the islands at great depth and breadth, and at a much more relaxed pace than the typical tourist.

My visit further confirmed my opinion that Maui is my favorite island in the world. It is a perfect blend of beautiful scenery, amazing beaches, snorkeling, and diving, high quality dining, and so much more.
