Favorite NES games

and super shredder is totally the final boss...me = :huh

To dispel your confusion, they remade Turtles in Time however, it only features two measly scenes worth of glorious artwork/dialogue of April O'Neil and Super Shredder isn't the final boss in the remake...it's just plain old sword wanna-be Shredder. Bah! Bah and whatever sound sounds like utter disappointment! :cry

They need to remake Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: The Hyperstone Heist, add LOTS OF SCENES of April O'Neil bound, gagged, and mmmphing for the Turtles to save her, and include some of the Archie TMNT characters (aka Ninjara, Manray, Mondo Gecko, Usagi) as unlockable characters to play! :cool

Rox...oh where do I even start with that?

Hmmm...well for starters you can send a gratuity to...(I kid...I kid). 😉

That Legend of Zelda game would be far too epic to make its way onto the consoles.

Don't I know it. Plus the core fan boys would eat us alive. Turning the heart meter into a health bar alone would cause endless complaint letters let alone inventing a awesome level up system. Plus I had ideas for companions (such as Saria, Diggs [a red haired male Kokiri], and others) to help Link out as he travels (sorta like a final fantasy party system).

We need to get an underground team together and make it ourselves. So, you in (heheh)?

Believe me if I had millions of dollars and could convince Shingure to let a team of developers (hand picked and directed by me [and possibly you too :stickout) to make a Legend of Zelda game for the PS3 in return for giving Miyamoto and Nintendo a share of the profits, I'D DO IT IN A HEART BEAT! Sadly, my wallet has seen better days (lol) and an underground team would probably get slapped with a cease and desist order faster than Link drawing the Master Sword from the Temple of Time.

Final Fantasy just hasn't been the same to me since IV and VI.

Ah, yes, the good old days of RPG's. The golden era. Though the Final Fantasy VI remake for the GBA wasn't as good (seriously...they took out all of Kefka's witty dialogue and made it seem like he just wanted to kill things and NOT be a clown while he's doing it...bah)!

haha, oh rox, I think we need to start up our own "wishful thinking for games" thread to keep this going, we'd be going back and forth all day. either that or I'll need to go start knocking on doors next time I visit my friend in NY 😛

for a quick, somewhat-witty response....that TinT makes me very sad, yours sounds infinitely better; I would consider myself a "super fanboy" for zelda stuff and I think we can still make it appealing to all; you aren't thinking nearly underground enough, haha, I'm talking my computer and I meeting with several others and slamming it onto the internet...skipping minor details, of course 🙂 ; and ending with more sadness at them screwing with kefka :/

for vex and jon, I guess I found the NES sadist club! I never played much ninja gaiden but know it's incredible annoyance now, and I *still* haven't taken the time to memorize that stupid unibike level (11?) in battletoads to outrun that trippy ball. *sigh*...so many harsh memories....

I see you skipped TMNT 1. A wise call. Sadly, it was the only Ninja Turtles game I had for my NES. In hindsight, I wish at times I'd been more into the NES than the Sega Genesis, since the NES has a much bigger nostalgic following.

Still, I loved me some Zelda 1 & 2. I even found Star Wars to be fun despite its punishing difficulty.

Oh man, you sound like you know well of the pain tmnt 1 causes. I could never make it past level 5, the stupid night mission level as a kid. I dedicated a significant portion of my childhood into beating that game, only to be rewarded with endless frustration. The thing that drove me mad the most was I knew there was only something like two levels left. Then I'd game over, go all the way back to the begining, grumble and mutter curses to the deisigners under my breath and walk away, trying again some other day.

Long story short I didn't beat that game until I was about 22. But I did it. Legitimately. No game genie, no nothing. I would say that was one of my proudest geek moments of all time.

Oh, I'm very familiar with that flavor of pain. I was a huge TMNT fan (Was? I still am!), and I got that game as soon as I heard about it. But it was crap! I never even made it as far as you did. I don't remember ever making it past level 2. It just felt like dead end after dead end. There's times when I think about trying again now that I'm older and more experienced, but a sense of dread prevents me.

You can tell a lot about a person by their favorite ninja turtle....

I was a Sega child, but did enjoy some games that crossed over. Battletoads (frustration!), Mortal Kombat (I know the blood code!), Mutant League Football... good times, good times.
