What are your favorite Vampire Movies? here's mine
Bram Stokers Dracula
John Carpenters Vampires
30 Days of night
From dusk till dawn

I hated 30 Days of Night. Of course I hate most newer movies.

I like John Carpenter's Vampires Movies and Dusk Till Dawn. Don't forget the absolutely horrible Subspecies series.

Really haven't been any that "grab me". Most new movies (in general all, not just vampires) rely entirely too much on special effects, gore, shock and way too little on story/plot. That's not to say I don't like special fx; it's just without a story, it's just hard to get into it. Though not a movie, I've always really loved the Forever Knight tv series of the 90's....at least the 1st and 2nd seasons; 3rd was kinda weak. Of course, I bought all 3 seasons on dvd.

Interview With The Vampire
Shadow Of The Vampire
Bram Stoker's Dracula
From Dusk Till Dawn (the 1st one only)
The Blade Trilogy

Only the first Lost Boys. The Tribe was just not good in any way. I believe there is another one called Forsaken that I like. Oh and Sundown was very very odd. Only Vampire movie I've ever seen with Bruce Campbell in it.

"Love at First Bite" with George Hamilton..such a sexy vampire..

From Dusk Till Dawn
John Carpenter's Vampires
Blade Trinity
Vampire In Brooklyn

What about the 1930's classic "Dracula" starring Bela Lugosi?? That is my fav hands down

These are just some of my favs ...

Nosferatu (1922)
Dracula (1931)
Vampyr (1932)
Horror of Dracula (1958)
Brides of Dracula (1960)
Black Sunday (1960)
Blacula (1972)
The Night Stalker (1972 - TV film)
Near Dark (1987)
Fright Night (1985)
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
From Dusk til Dawn (1996)
Shadow of the Vampire (2000)

Near Dark is the other one I was trying to think of. Good call on that one.

I seem to be the only one to say "Underworld" 🙂

oh and Van Helsing's nice too 😉

hmm there was a vampire movie with a guy who always played a villain..can't think of his name..i found him great looking but i don't think he was regarded as such...he had blonde hair..he was the bad guy in "Scarecrow" with Al Pacino and Gene Hackman..hmm rats..i liked that version of Dracula..only saw it once..i cannot think of this guy's name..super built nice..but not bulky...had rather a scarrie face..not scary..scar...damn..

^_^ Definitely Van Helsing, Interview with the Vampire, Queen of the Damned, and Vampire's Journal <3!

The actor, Richard Lynch. The movie, "The Vampire" (1979). It's actually a pretty good movie, considering it was a 70s made for tv quickie. I meant to put it on my list, but could not remember the name of it ... duh.

The original 1931 Dracula. Bela Lugosi is to Dracula what Sean Connery was to the James Bond series! FWIW, I found the original Bram Stoker story as a book-on-tape recently at a thrift shop.

Interview With a Vampire
Queen of the Damned
Van Hellsing (apparently I don't know how to spell the second word...)
And recently: TWILIGHT!!!!

I'm more of a zombie movie fan myself. However, as a horror-buff in general, you can't spend any time in the pits without watching afew blood-sucker pix. Along with many mentioned in the preceding pages, I also dig:
Interview with the Vampire
Salem's Lot
Nosferatu(the original)
the Mexican Dracula film from way back about a year after the Bela Lugosi one.
The Blood Drinkers `66 Filipino
Blood for Dracula `74 - Udo Kier as the sickliest Drac evar!
Blood Thirst `65 Filipino - Ccool twist on the legend.
Curse of the Vampires `70 Filipino - Whole family of blood-suckers!
Encounters of the Spooky Kind 1 & 2 - Hong Kong hopping vampires!
Fearless Vampire Killers - Roman Polanski's take.
Mark of the Vampire `36 (Great up to the 'cheat'-ending)
Mr. Vampire - More Hong Kong horror/comedy/adventure.
Mystics in Bali - Insane mondo macabre number about a flying witches head. Fits into the list anyway.
Psychomania `67 - Crazy Brit flick about young biker gang who kill themselves to attain immortality.
Rabid `77 - Marilyn Chambers(of XXX-movie fame) in Cronenbergs' tweaked take on the genre.
The Reflecting Skin `90 - Early role for Viggo Mortensen in this completely original and unusual movie.
Spermula `76 - Wretched, hilariously soft-porn take on 'vampires'.
Vamp `86 - Grace Jones is badass as an ancient Egyptian vampire queen.
And finally, the Vampire Hunter D series out of Japan kicks all sorts of creative butt.

Buffy the movie and show, for shizzle.

30 days of night

Dusk 'til Dawn

Salem's Lot, the miniseries on TNT was friggin awesome too.

Van Helsing wasn't exactly a vampire movie, but the guy playing Dracula did a very superb job. i love that movie.

I'd have to go with the old Dracula with Bela Lugosi, as well as the later remake with Gary Oldman. I also really liked the first Underworld (Evolution had plot holes you could fly a Death Star through) as well as the Blade movies, especially the first one.
