Just found a great site for buying feathers that sells singles or packs of 25 and up. What's really great is that all the feathers are fumigated, washed, and rinsed. 🙂

They have something that I got a thrill just seeing called a feather pinwheel...

so I ordered it as well as a small selection of duck, turkey and others that looked enticing. I'll let you know when they arrive....

On another note, I also found a website that has feather charms but I haven't checked it out fully yet:

Hmmmmm..Not only do they sell the Ostrich feathers and dusters, they also sell the meat.

We usually prepare it by dredging it in flour (chunked), and sauteeing it in a little oil. Take the duck out, glaze the pan in white wine, let it cook down til it thickens. Then stir in some current (or blueberry or whatever) jelly, and replace the duck. It's deeeeeelish!!
Remember...always use wild duck...it's less fatty. Domesticated duck needs to have the extra fat removed or it's to...well...fatty.

ness: you are making the hollywood brother hungry. the hollywood brother never had duck yet but would not mind trying some. the hollwood brother think that by the way you describe the duck dish, that you are indeed a great chef

ROFL! Sorry, HB to disapoint but I'm no chef. On a good day I can make macaroni and cheese...from a box. 😛
My husband and his dad are the chefs in my household. 😀 Were it not for them I'd never have been able to try things like duck, venison, goose, etc. 😛 It does make a killer dish though...serve it with mashed potatoes or over rice. Deeelish! I reccomend trying it 😀

I can definitely recommend the ostrich. Lighter than steak, a little tangier, but season it with steak sauce or seasoning, and you'll never taste the difference.
