although i appreciate your attempt to contribute to the community it is actully counter productive.

if u want to post clips from youtube here then type the url with gaps in it so its not a hyperlink 😉

alternatively use an .FLV extension grabber. i personally use ORBIT.

this way you can:
1) download the actual file and keep it for yourself
2) post that clip here (if it is allowed)

in the event that youtube remove the clip this way you can just re-up it
(if you were so inclined)

i'm not having a go by the way, just some friendly advice 🙂

Look, it's real simple to deactivate a hot link to youtube without adding those annoying gaps that make copying and pasting more difficult than necessary; all the OP has to do is remove one of the slashes after http:.

Below is the original link copied twice, with a slash deleted from the second copy before posting:

See? The second link is deactivated, and copying and pasting is easy with no annoying gaps to deal with.

Preferrably use either one of these:

http://clipnabber.com

And post as .mp4 , because mp4 can be SEEKED (rewinded), is better supported and has better quality. Both sites have that option!
