Before the crying starts, allow me to challenge anyone to post article links about male teachers doing this. Even the judge thinks as I do. The female teachers always make the news.

State District Judge Michael McSpadden said his sentence was intended to send a message and make an example of her because he's aware of too many similar cases.

I am not envious of the boys who are railing these teachers left and right. Is it a fantasy or dream for many guys, young and old. As this person commented.

This is a males dream come true!! Anyone saying the opposite is either gay or the parent

But eventually, it turns into a nightmare. A living hell that boys wish they could wish away, which is very contrary to the wish come true as mentioned above.

I just don't get it. She's not a bad-looking lady, she could easily find someone of legal age to sleep with---why a 13 year old student?

That was another person's comment. The article cited the teacher experienced domestic abuse at an early age as the reason that probably took place.

What crying?
Do you think anyone here disagrees with the sentence?
What exactly are you trying to say?
The only one crying here appears to be you.

I guess my question is what conversation are you trying to initiate? The post has some details from a case that I've read a little about, but no real direction toward a discussion. Adults having sex with 13 year olds is terrible regardless of the gender of either party. I think we can all agree on that. The part I can't believe, from the link:

Prosecutors said the boy's parents didn't object to their relationship and Vera told an investigator they were "very supportive and excited" when she disclosed her pregnancy.*

Vera, however, had a "history of straight-out deception," Denise Nichols, a Harris County prosecutor, said, including moving the boy and his father into her home to give the appearance the boy's father was her boyfriend.

I second Wolf, what crying were you or are you expecting? My only thought from reading just the title was this seems similar to what happened with Mary Kay Leternaou (sp?).

This is horrible and I hope no one would think that this is ok.

As a rule, I'm never a fan of when a Judge "decides to send a message", as it usually means that said person gets a particularly harsher sentence then most people who commit the same crime. I guess I just find it unfair that one person seems to be singled out just because they get a certain judge.

That being said, I definitely don't think it is right for teachers to engage in sexual activities with their students, especially when the student is a minor.

This is not acceptable behavior on the teacher's part.

Most teenage students, including myself when I was that age.. had.. teenage fantasies about what they wanted to do with their teachers.

I think I posted on here in the past about a hot teacher that I had in junior high, who used to regularly teach class barefoot, because she said that a certain pair of shoes she had.. was hurting her feet. . I was. about 12 when I had this lady.

We had nothing but a professional relationship. In fact.. back then things were so.. touchy. My mom was good friends with another teacher in the school I went to, who knew that this teacher was living with another male teacher in the school. The two teachers eventually married. They were so uneasy about the idea of the people in the school knowing they were living together, for concern that the students would "gossip", that they kept their relationship very quiet, until they did eventually marry.

In addition to the whole "It's illegal for an adult to be having sexual relations with a student who is a minor.". it sets a very poor example for the whole idea of "An adult is supposed to know better, and not do those things with a student. "

I had a few crushes on teachers when I was that age. In the 7th grade, my algebra teacher was so beautiful and young, she always wore these shirts that were kind of transparent, and you could always see her bra. God I wanted to motorboat her tits and have such passionate sex with her. LOL I will never forget that woman (though I don't think I'll ever remember her name).

Memories.

Yeah thats fucked up.

I wonder why the female teachers make the news. Maybe because people are jaded by how often men do it

This, definitely, and there's the element of "OMG I wish my teacher would have done that to me!" bullshit that always follows.
When you have a society that treats women as objects of sexualization, rather than having their own urges, desires, and culpability for bad acts, it's easy to smirk about it.

It's not cute or sexy when a grown man "grooms" and rapes 13-year old student, and it shouldn't be when a woman does the same.
We don't put male teachers on the cover of People, posing happily with their victims.
Because women are emotional, see, and can't be held as responsible for their actions. Society can't treat women like they're adolescents, and then whine when they don't suffer the same penalties for the same crimes.
You reap what you sow, you know?

As a son of a teacher who has dedicated 50+ years of her life to serving her community I don't appreciate this topic.

Are you trying to belittle other good, hardworking teachers by posting this?

I think the OP was trying to start some kind of argument about gender disparities in relation to reactions to teacher/student sex crimes.
He may have been hoping for some people to echo the comments he posted, but only a few did.

Well if this thread was started for the purpose of starting an argument then I'd like to ask a mod to delete it or at least to lock it please. I take offense at this thread.

How so? It was a crime that was actually committed. The OP was looking for reactions to the sentence.
No one is saying all teachers are sexual predators, not even the OP is saying that.

True. It turns upside down the literal 'case-by-case' legal system we have in place.

More likely becasue the male reverends , youth directors, coaches and band directors that I see on the news almost weekly don't fit the catagry of "teacher".

@Sensualswitch10

I posted a couple of teacher-student cases last year. Would you believe prior to this case, there was another teacher in TX who got pregnant by her 13 year-old student?

The topic creates a discussion. I have seen very banal threads on here that unbelievably garnered multiple posts.

@ Wolf and goddess_nemesis

Alright, here comes the SJW (Social Justice Warrior) crying I knew was coming. That same guy is back. He commented on page one of my thread that he was offended because his mother had been a teacher for decades.

Again...no one's crying about this but you, tough guy.
Still trying to figure out what you're crying about, though.
Except that other threads got more posts.
Is that actually an important thing?

Social Justice Warrior? Please. That's not SJW crying. It was ONE person out of multiple replies that was 'offended'. The ignore button works great to weed out shit like that.

I simply stated that I anticipated someone from my previous threads commenting on this one to say the topic offended him.
One thing we agreed on is the fact that I didn't state that ALL teachers were sexual predators.

Another was these statements you made.

This, definitely, and there's the element of "OMG I wish my teacher would have done that to me!" bullshit that always follows.

Yes, I said that. Did you have an issue with it, or are you just babbling and quoting people?
