For all you Final Fantasy fans out there heres a question for ya. Personally I think FF8 was a piece of crap, and FF7 was the best FF EVER made. Lets get everyones opinion on this! Sound off!!

i preferred ff7, tho ff10 was a lot of fun too. I am trying to get my hands on the original Suikoden, so i can play it and its sequel before moving on to suikoden 3. Also, if you have an X-Box, on tuesady the 29th go out and get Shenmue 2. Because it kicks ass. LOTS of ass. If you havne't played Shenmue 1 (for dreamcast), then you should, because it kicks ass too. Also lots of ass.

GTA Vice city comes out monday, it should be a helluva gaming week 😎

Heh

Yep, I have had Shenmue resereved for months......can't wait.....I actually liked FF8....but it does not come anywhere close to the genius that is FF7.

Played the import version of Shenmue 2 on my Dreamcast......Like Scooby says its a GREAT game I may even buy it for X-box just so I can play it in english 😎

FF7 rocked the damn house.

FF8 would have TOTALLY sucked if not for the card game, which kept me playing far longer than I otherwise would have.

Triple Triad, anyone? 😀

FF7 was awesome. I haven't even played through an hour of FF8, because I only hear bad things about it, and from the little bit of it I've seen, said bad things appear to be quite accurate. But my favorite was FF6. The things I did to try to maximize my character's attributes! I actually kept Locke in LV6 until the point where you get magicite. I also had fun using Game Genie to rearrange my characters' abilities.

The FF8 card game was pretty fun but didnt come close to the Chocobo racing/breeding in FF7. Now that kept me hooked for days

I know you guys may laugh, but my favorite FF ever was FF3. The made it for Super Nintendo. It was a great game, despite the graphics!

FF 3 was the sh*t when it came out, it's when I thought the final fantasy games started getting really good. I really couldn't sit through FF8, most of the fighting involved summoning one of the guardians (I think thats what they were called) and you had to sit through watching them put on an animated spectacle that got old really quickly rather then getting down to the actual battle. FF7 was alot better, but I thought it tended to be a little lengthy with it's animated scenes. The story line also kind of dragged. I had alot of fun with FF9. I haven't played much of ten.

well, I liked FF8. played the whole game with squall on the verge of death ( gotta love that limit break 😀 ) The lionheart limit break was so F.....reaking ( 😛 ) awesome

FF9 is, as far as I'm concerned, the best FF I played so far haven't played FF10 yet, but I will as soon as it goes PC 😛 )

As far as I'm concerned, there is no such thing as a bad Final Fantasy. I haven't played completely through VII, yet, but only because I got halfway through the game, twice, with my memory card getting deleted both times! I haven't felt compelled to go back, since.

Nah, we won't laugh...much 😉

My favorite FF was the first one, so I'd be the target of ridicule I think. I played FF7 and thought "eh..." I did enjoy some of the cut scenes, but it's exemplifies the problem I have with a lot of console games today...too much eye candy, not enough playability. I think I "watched" FF7 more often than I actually "played" it. But all that aside, overall it was a well put together game. But I am, admittedly, much more of a PC gamer than a console gamer nowadays.

I like FF5 (I think that's it, you used to be able to only get it off an emulator, but someone may have release it by now) a lot, because of the different classes you could choose for all your guys. It was a really neat idea.

Let us not forget another great RPG that came out on the SNES that in my humble opinion blew FF3 out of the water....CHRONO TRIGGER 😎

I own 7, 8 9 and 10, and of them all 8 is undoubtably the best: The junction system was just perfect to me, lol. 10 is pretty damn good, but to be honest I haven't played it that much...after buying it I got Morrowind for the PC. And I haven't left my house since....

Yep. Final Fantasy Anthology, for Playstation, contains both FF5 and FF6.

Toss up....

You know, I liked the characters of FF7 better, but I haven't finished the darn thing. Got caught up in FF10 when it came out (or course I'm so behind the main crowd since I had just gotten a PS2 last year). I did manage to finish FF8 - which was a major disappointment. The card game...gave me headaches! I loved FF9 - still my favorite by far. FF10 was also awesome, although again the ending lacked IMO. Right now, I'm working backwards a bit and playing FF tactics, which despite lame graphics, has a great story with some great characters (including FF7's Cloud...). Heck, I may even go back and finish FF7 someday soon.
