Jim, who at times seemed to be little more than a pest who liked to "jerk around" more than do any actual business, called Ross one day and proposed a conference call between Fritz, Steve, Jim and Ross.
Ross for his view, was at least two weeks away from his regular monthly OKC trip, immersed in the work of Mel and Mel's referrals, and was little more than annoyed.
Yet, Ross knew that he needed to let Fritz and Steve know about what Jim did , so he called them and said. "If this guy did not have potential expansion into Canada, I would not even talk to him. Since he does, we will hear him out, once, and if he gives us BS, we will disregard him. " Ross said, as Fritz and Steve agreed.
The four men had a conference call the following day, and Jim said,. "Two proposals, one in Montreal the other in Toronto. I will FEDEX all of you the information, and call and check out for yourselves. No obligation or judgement on my part either way" Jim said.
When they clicked Jim off, Fritz and Steve agreed to make the calls and check it all out, as they were just involved in building deals which did not include Ross at the current time, and figuring out the investor pool for the next monthly show in OKC in two weeks.
Two days later, Steve called Ross.
"Ross, the one in Toronto does not look bad, but the one in Montreal looks better. Can you possibly, meet me in Montreal for at most two days, and an overnight?" Steve said.
"If it;'s that important, I will have to. Maybe we can meet the guy on a Saturday, Kayley can go with me for the weekend, and we can check it out, and then I spend a day or two up there with Kayley. Kayley and I have never done a vacation or weekend in Montreal. I was so crazy with butting heads with Fish in Toronto all this time, that Kayley and I just never could do it" Ross said.
That night, when Ross got home, with a small bouquet of red roses,. Kayley knew something was up. "Okay, whats the news?"
"You are welcome for the flowers, and the news is that I would appreciate if we could go to Montreal this weekend, and spend the Monday holiday you have coming up there. Steve will be there, and we are having one meeting with this guy about a possible expansion into Canada. The information is from Jim. This is his last chance to prove to us that he's real" Ross said.
Kayley saluted Ross. "Yes Sir"
Ross , Kayley and Steve met at a beautiful hotel in Montreal early on a Friday evening after Ross and Kayley had arrived from NY and Steve from OKC. The meeting with , ironicially, John Saver was Saturday
After a good night's sleep and breakfast, Kayley went shopping in a mall adjacemt to the hotel, while Ross and Steve met with Mr Saver.
"Guys, thanks for having this meeting. I have an energy company that is about ten years old. I know that all of you are looking to expand into Canada, and I would like involvement in the US. I propose, we join forces twenty five percent each in my company, and I in turn get some consideration for RFS, as well as can buy ten percent for a discount, to be a minority partner. I'm an easy guy to deal with. You three can focus on RFS, and Ross, I know that you have RossShell . I would get capital from you guys, and you would get access to fields in Montreal to have partnership in, and my investor list, combined with all of your experience, I see this as a workable situation" John said.
Steve and Ross were pleasantly surprised. If what you are saying is correct ,this might just be what we are looking for., I will have to call Mister P, Fritz, for Ross, Fritz and I to discuss amongst ourselves, but, this sounds very feasible. " Steve said.
"Good. I'm glad it was time well spent. We will keep in touch within the next week, and figure it out" Jphn said.
When Ross and Steve got back to the hotel, Ross explained to Kayley what was going on. Ross and Steve went into Steve's room,which was a couple of rooms away from Ross and Kayley's, and got Fritz on Ross's cell phone speakerphone. When they told Mister P the plan, he was almost shocked.
I dont love the idea of having to give up any part of RFS, but, if this works, and the guy is a silent partner, we get all this, and can buy into his fields in Montreal and his investor pools past and present, I have to say look at it further. " Fritz said.
The three men agreed to talk to energy brokers in OKC when Steve got back there, and work it out.
That night, Ross, Steve and Kayley had dinner in Montreal before Ross and Kayley would go back to NY and Steve to OKC the next day.
Ross and Kayley had simple, switch, calm sex, and a bit of tickling in the hotel in Montreal, as both were immersed in their vacation/Ross's partial work weekend, to take advantage of a new place, and spending time together.

Monday about noon for Steve to go back to OKC and Ross and Kayley to NY.
After a quiet night, Ross went back to RossShell on Tuesday, so that Ross and Steve could contact the person who could qualify John's "Worthiness and believability:" A couple of hours later, that person came back with a positive report, so Ross and Steve were prepared to call John Saver and take steps to go ahead with the deal.
As that week went along,. Ross quietly sought to find a way to get to OKC for 24 hours from Friday to Saturday to meet with Steve, talk to John Saver and sign the deal.
The VP griped a bit at first, but when Ross promised to be home in 24-36 hours, and have a nurse present at all times, Kayley knew the importance of RFS expansion into Canada for Ross, Fritz and Steve, and Kayley agreed to lend a :blind eye and deaf ear" if Ross was careful.
Ross kissed Kayley goodbye on Friday, went to JFK with a nurse, and tried to rest/sleep on the journey to OKC.
Ross walked into the office to greet Fritz and Steve, when what should have been a joyous meeting, Ross found Fritz and Steve with "concerned looks on their faces"
Ross looked at their faces and said.
"Uh oh, okay. You guys look concerned about something. Is there a hitch? What is the problem?" Ross asked Fritz and Steve.
Steve sighed, and gave Ross a chair.
"Ross, sit down. Something has come up"
Just what was the "Something" that came up?
