Yup, Qjakal, that is the same sort of car used in the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds". But in the movie, the car used was a pre-fab (meaning it was built for the movie) with a mustang hood. Not a real Shelby in any sense of the word. The only real one was the rusted out junker Cage hopped into at the end.
I'd sell her to you, Lime! Let's see.. the last one auctioned off had over 150,000 miles, went through six owners, and had the plain old 428 block and 3-speed tranny. No record of past service. That one went for $172,000.
MINE has under 15,000 miles, TWO owners (though technically one - it's still in my father's name until the end of the year) within the family, a rare 427 Tunnelport High-Rise engine that's worth $38,000 alone, a custom toploading 4-speed, a top speed of 200+ MPH (tested her at Pocono Raceway), quarter mile times in the high 9s (with the proper gearing), VERY high performance brakes/tires/suspension, attachable racing harnesses, and not too mention a flawless paint/interior job compliments of a company in Connecticut that specializes in Shelby restorations.
So, if you have around $325,000, I may consider letting her go.
Sorry, I just couldn't resist the opportunity to brag!!! My girlfriend loves the car, but doesn't understand a word I say about it, or truly appreciates its rarity. I've worked on her for several years, and to have all this work pay off... taking her for that Sunday drive to a car show... the look you get from women when you drive it... feeling how she dives into the turns/corners... hearing that engine sing at 8,500 RPMs down the Pocono front stretch... it's beautiful.😎
