Well, in what has been a relatively snow free winter for my area, after the early season snow in October, we are finally going to get some tonight.

The current forecast calls for anywhere from three to five inches overnight tonight into tomorrow morning, with a light wintry mix thereafter.

The last two or three winters have been so snowy, that it seems a bit odd to have a winter such as this. WPVI in Philly was saying last night that the city of Philadelphia has used a very limited amount of money and resources from their season snow budget so far, compared to the recent previous winters. They will be using resources tonight.

Bring on the snow. Thankfully for me, the weather is supposed to be warm for my birthday on Monday.

Hello from a truck stop near Dallas,TX. 😛
I will be back in the clod and snow soon enough. 😱

Sorry to hear that you must travel tomorrow, carl. Be careful, my friend.

Understood, carl, and I think you are making the right move to wait.

Hope you guys are all safe and enjoying yourself!

I heard a rumor of some small snowfall in Vegas, and it usually happens days after the weather dude was wrong with his analysis and prediction.

The Atlanta paper had an article on some stores up north selling more grass seed than snow melt so far. It sounds like that will change soon, based on the above posts. I hope General Zod and all the professional truckers will be safe. Atlanta has bought almost $1 million worth of additional snow plows, after the city being shut down for a week last January by the snow and ice. Of course they may not need it for 5 more years but maybe they can at least keep the Interstates open next time.

Thanks, Jager. I'm safe. I didnt go out at all today.

I have no idea how much we actually got. From the looks of things, maybe one or two inches. It doesnt look as bad outside as they originally had said it would be. The snow should melt fast, because the forecast for Monday is 50 degrees and "Thundershowers", which is a very unusual occurence for January.

^It is nice to hear that Atlanta is taking measures to keep the interstates open.^
