I was just wondering if anyone had any advice and/or experience on what you can pack in checked baggage as far as bondage gear. I have traveled with an all nylon hogtie strap before with no problem, it looks harmless enough. I was just wondering if it's ok to pack cuffs with metal rings and rope? Would any of these items in checked baggage be considered a threat? What items should you NOT carry when flying?

packed baggage, almost anything is okay.... cept the kinky type baggage handlers might steal your stuff 😉

I had my entire tool/bondage kit in my checked baggage last year. Nothing happened about it. So I had no issues.

Checked luggage should not be a problem. Even if they open it and take a look, it's not like you have access during the flight. They might think it's weird, but who cares?

We travel often with all sorts of bondage gear, which includes lots of rope, leather straps, D-rings, plus floggers, bullwhips and lots else besides. It all goes into the hold, no problems. Sometimes we find notices inside that it's been opened by Homeland Security, but nothing has ever gone missing. With luck, it's livened up a boring day for the inspection team.

We only had to open our bags in public once, for British Customs. We simply began describing not only the items we were taking out for him, (at this point KT was twirling a set of nipple clamps on a chain) but the event at which we used them with such enthusiasm and volume that the official got embarrassed and immediately told us to pack it up and just go through.

This sounds exactly like something you and Kittentoes would do 🙂 If you're stopped by a customs official, you might as well have fun, and perhaps try to appeal to his/her prurient interests.

British humor is often subtle and bizarre; Americans find a way to simultaneously titillate and offend. You, sir, seem to have a handle on both.

The story also reminded me of this:
